The 4k stabilization sucks but those videos from that page changed my mind a little bit about the image quality.

@sidneylopsides how many hours of screen on time are you averaging between charges? |

4K video played on 1.
7% battery used after 30 min.
Excatly what I said on other post.
That since XZ Premium, SS was getting weaker at 4K.
DxO in 2015 said Z5 steadyshot was far ahead of competition and S6/G4 had OIS+EIS.
I dont know if you guys noticed, but it looks like that SS is even bit weaker when doing 4K HDR.
That is a lot of data to process. According to them last year you need the stacked sensor for the HLG on smartphone.
Because it is more data than HDR10.
The issue with few photos is same of xz2. Slow shutter in daylight.
On a cloudy day, shutter of 1/800s will give you gray cloudy sky.
But 1/250s will give you completely white sky.
It was often seen on xz2 to make foreground brighter.

question: is cinema pro video different from regular video? cause sidneylopsides's video is a different aspect ratio for one and the quality is much nicer than the recombu ones..

Cinema Pro is fully manual. By default it produces very flat and washed out looking footage that is made to be colour corrected in an editing suite.
You have to manually set ISO and shutter angle to get correct exposure. Most people won't use it. But it's an extra tool that's cool to use.

Sony said you can get raw using 3rd part apps.
Cinema Pro has the 4K HDR, if you try to watch on SDR screen it looks worse than SDR.
Very washed out colours.
I would love to use cinema pro, but i have no idea which are best settings for different situations.
All i know is that faster shutter prevents blur, just like for stills.
That is why the cam app still has video.
I loved the coldish profile, name is something like Strong blue , not sure.
DPreview has a video from last year they explain about video recording tricks.
Chris and Jordan are great.
BONUS: i heard comments that battery lasts well. |

It does have camera 2 support, the stock app doesn't do raw but 3rd party ones like Lightroom can.
Cinema pro is aimed at creating cinematic footage.
The settings you want to aim for are 23.98fps and 180 degree shutter to help smooth the motion.
The Venice CS look is designed to be colour corrected after.
The other looks are all roughly based on common genre gradings, warm for happy stuff, cooler for action, sci-fi etc. The N/A gives you the stock camera colours.
The video of the fields I put on YouTube was corrected, I shot a colour checker card and used Davinci Resolve to colour correct. The originals footage is essential like a raw file for video, very flat and low saturation.

Can you try to install Google Camera, does it work? https://www.celsoazevedo.com/[....]/google-camera/f/changelog489/
or this: https://www.geeksane.com/google-camera-xperia-1/

Try Camera Snap 8.2 without noise reduction. If it is not too hard for you. |
