80mm in seperate module so they dont necessarily need movement right
I am also wondering what would be the combination in the back
Going along with the flow would mean using a 2x or 3x telephoto lens but sony wont do that
I think a normal + b/w + tof sensor combo will complete the trio... Tof sensor can provide superior bokeh with advanced subject delineation and the b/w sensor can improve the night shots so that the phone is the best in night photography |

I suspect the "16 26 52" part is the triple camera system
1. 16 mm wide-angle lens
2. 26 mm main lens
3. 52 mm telephoto lens
Mate 20 Pro still has ISO 102,400, albeit losing the Monochrome sensor that was inside P20 Pro, so it's possible to have the same ISO without having to put a monochrome sensor there.
For bokeh, sony just needs to put a current ToF sensor and those other sensors, along with superior software algorithms. No need to put a ToF camera.
Personally, I think only three sensors (main, ultra-wide, and telephoto) are needed.

unlike past codes (including the ones from last year), which you can be sure that you are right if decode correctly, this code is almost impossible for you to be certain even if you get the right answer because there are multiple possibilities.

@tonylcc
Thanks. So we still don't know for sure if it was cancelled or not. Midrange CPU is not a big deal for me, but I hope camera is not "midrange" too.

14 is probably 14mm lens , since there is 48 mpx sensor , 52mpx is more possible to me then lens. |

Larger sensor is able of higher ISO....
But without monochrome the real time process ...
Huawei phones cant use 12800 for video.
Also BW helps to give cleaner images.
About "telephoto" ( 52mm is not telephoto to photographers) I say I think it's still digital.
Remember even pocket cameras with 1/2.3" the lenses come out?
I know some of newer mobile Exmor are WRGB.
180° is Utra Wide .... More degrees = wider

My predictions
1- Main Camera: High MP camera, quad bayer, they will keep the current equivalent 24mm lens, New HDR On Shot, until 4K60 video, HDR video @24p or 30.
2-Secondary camera: Bigger monochromatic camera, same lens
3- Aux camera: 6MP ToF camera for fast Autofocus, Depth of Field for photos and Videos (1080@30p SDR)
Extras: New Gen of AUBE, they will drop the laser, they'll just keep the RGB-IRC sensor.

I agree with nevewolf
Sony has a traditional approach to things
So they wont be following the current market trend of wide tele normal trio
Also with high mp count primary sensor they can do some software trickery to provide high quality digital zoom right??
I am alright with the setup as stated by nevewolf
With this setup implemented with the proper software the phone can be #1 in terms of photography
Also anyone have any idea about an acoustic surface incoming??

Devices with imx400 use 25mm.
26 or 27 when dual cam is ON.
Imx300 is used with 24.
ToF does not have ability to do photos/videos.
The SD855 allows 4K60 HDR10 ... Probably it will do 4K60 or 4K48 HDR HLG
Maybe the ToF is behind 52mm....
Of course they would not spend all that money/time on AUBE to drop it after 1 year.
It is useless without the monochrome.

A ToF create depth maps with that it is possible to blur the background even in videos
And Qualcomm also mentioned it in the conference.
HLG It is not equal to HDR10, LG also can record in HDR10 but the picture quality is horrible and the dynamic range isnt really better.
The Sony use a different method, it takes two frames in different exposure, so that's why atm is locked at 24fps.

Exactly what I say.
SD can allow HDR10, Sony allows HLG ( impossible without DRAM).
So, probably Sony may offer 4K HDR HLG with 60 or 48fps ( whatever value hardware can).
Point is Tof cant be used to shoot still /vids.
It will help the other sensors.
I suspect the phone we are talking about is the 4K.
Instead of a QHD flagship.
Maybe the 6 month cycle is over .
Then a cheaper /bit smaller QHD in september ..

I'm just hoping the Premium model won't be delayed again.
Additionally, if the leaked phone/cases we're seeing are the XZ4 (or whatever it's called if there's a new naming scheme), then I wonder what features the Premium will have. |
