I haven't yet. Currently can't decide between XZ2P, XZ3 or something new that CES 2019 will bring...
Which one are you going or can't decide to buy? |

I do not even know if they will keep bringing phones here..
No L2 nor Xz2 Premium here. XA2+ and XZ3 were not even put on their website.
XA2 and Ultra just black colour..
Xz1 is 50% cheaper than initial price..

i was so amazed at the facial recognition feature that would find all the pics of a particular person and have it linked to their contact profile. it was ahead of its time. google has only recently added that to the photos app.
i hope sony falls back into the mind set of innovation they had back then. these days it's all been about catch up with a few nice features thrown in there from the camera department but otherwise I feel like they've really taken their foot off the pedal on trying to push the limits.
I remember the days when their slogan was "like no other" and that really made me proud to be a sony owner cause it really was true.

They don’t seem eager on coming back. I’d be very eager to see a more modern take on Scandinavian Design. Devices like the Xperia Arc, Aino, Satio etc... are dearly needed now more than ever.
Takes me back to the days where I hated Android and wanted Palm WebOS to make it, but when it flopped my only option was Android and Sony Ericsson

I even got my XZ2 via a seller in my local's online marketplace with a super cheap price at about $590 (as of May 2018). Believe me, XZ2 is a great phone. If you want OLED, just get XZ3 instead or XZ2P if you want better camera.

Yes..
Many people here do that. They buy Chinese phones on sites like Gearbest.
It takes less than one week to arrive. Then the CUSTOM HOUSE starts its work.
They check all packages from outside county.
It takes at least 30 days to release the package. Maybe up to 90 days.
According to the law, they can charge up to 60% of the price as fee.
For example, people pay $500 for OP6. They will charge maybe more $70. According to the price.
Premium is $800 on EBay, they will probably charge me at least $200 more. Then when it arrive.in my state, there is another fee from the state.
I am not fan of Ambient Flow, but the 16:9 LCD is preference. And XZ2P probably is the last one this way.
Xz3 is cool, but soon it will have screen issues like all other oled phones.
XZ2 is the cheapest Xperia flagship since Z3+. It will be 50% cheaper about March /April.
Does anyone here believe those Dxo scores posted on weibo? |

I have the XZ2 Compact. It's the perfect size and I wish they can add a bit more screen. I'm used to the missing headphone jack as the adapter is alright. It performs exceptionally in every task, it's brilliant. The design is alright, not great but nice and comfortable. I like the position of the FPS and that the camera is far above it.
I'm really interested in the next iteration after seeing the XZ3, the prospect of a more refined XZ2 is great. I really thought I'd miss the XZ1 Compact but I don't, the XZ2 Compact does feel so much better and it works great too. Looking forward to the Android P update. |

XZ2c looks more fancy than Xz1.
Silver is the best. Exactly the one not sold here. 😒
I can get use to Hybrid slot, but I need dual Sim.
Last flagship dual was Z5p.
Probably I will have to buy without warranty.
I hope i81xx shows up in January, this way price drops faster.
XZ2c is US$774 now. Sony brought it a bit cheaper but raised price.
Probable dollar exchange issues.

Surely there would be more than one sensor above the screen?
Otherwise, not a bad looking render. Personally, I don't have an issue with the position of the FPS on the back of the XZ2 as you eventually just get used to it. but I prefer the side mounted version regardless.

Please, be. Dual cam of Premium and not wide + ultra wide.
Sony just announced a new sensor ( probably for surveillance).
Polarization sensor, 2/3 " sized and 5.07MP.
Ability to deal with reflection...
I hope they bring this tech to mobile sensor...
