I remember that someone here posted a photo of a dual selfie.
They need to increase the amount of ram inside the sensor.
I hope Aube 2.0 does not have the limitations of current one.
Iso 12800 + 4K is welcome.
4K from Samsung, LG or Sharp?
If they go back to flat back, the oled + 8.7mm must be enough for the camera not be that thing pretty ugly like iPhone's.

So if a told you all that Sony are working on a 5G device with a 4K HDR OLED display with quad cameras (2 front + 2 rear) with the 2nd gen AUBE fusion processor to be available by the end of Q1 who'd get excited?
Nice, but is it from reliable source? If you say yes, I will believe you based on your track record |

As always, poor suckers who just the other day got their hands on the 'long awaited and eagerly anticipated' dual camera sensation that is the XZ2P are getting a kick in the nuts by Sony with this new device. The same goes for XZ3 users because I think those users will want the XZ4 straight away.
Can't agree with you. I chose XZ2P because it has 16:9 IPS display, theme support and Xperia Actions. These things are not available in the present/rumored future models. At the current price of 500-600eur XZ2P is a real bargain. And almost everyday I read about new XZ3 OLED display or build problems. |

I wanted it, but is not for sale here.

Yes, I am. It is by no means the smallest or lightest phone on the market but you get used to it. Recently there has been a huge price reduction in Asia on this model. |

If it were a Compact, Yes!.
Otherwise, not really. I would of course be excited for sony and for people who consider phones in that size. I am guessing that it will be a 5,8-6,3 inch device? Give me a 5 inch 21:9 display. That would be neat. A true one-hand-phone. |

@Napahlm
I hear you, the next best thing is the Galaxy S9 but the rumours suggest that the S10 Lite will be perfect with a flat OLED screen, side FPS, minimal bezels, probably very nice theme engine and in a compact body with a 3.5mm jack....basically what Sony should have done. Fingers crossed that the screen size is below 6 inch. |

What I'm curious about is whether Sony will have a folding display ready for next years Premium. |

Not sure if you're joking or not.
Given Sony's track record, I would highly doubt it. |

Nah, why would I be joking? We know from earlier reports that Sony and LG Display were working on folding displays, and before that Sony's been working on them since forever. Wherever Sony sourced the XZ3 display from (be it JDI or LG), they obviously have the capability of curving OLED displays. And we even have the Royole FlexPai out there with a folding screen ahead of Samsung's own offering. I wouldn't be surprised if we see other companies with folding displays next year, it's just a question of when Sony will have theirs ready. |

There are few japanese companies heavily involved in the Galaxy F development.

Oh there definitely will be other companies making folding phones. I just doubt Sony will.
Sony and Google (HTC as well I guess) were the companies that were the slowest at slimming down bezels on their smartphones. Google is understandable, they're new to making their own hardware. HTC is a shell of a company. Sony is a tech GIANT, and they took SO LONG to get to the XZ3 bezels, and even then, they are far from the slimmest bezels you'll see on a smartphone. Particularly the forehead and chin (which pointless has the Sony logo on the front).
With such a track record on doing something relatively easy - reducing bezel width. Why would Sony sink a proportionally much greater amount of money to develop a phone that folds.
Heck. You may even be right. Sony might surprise everyone and steal Samsung's show with a folding phone. I'm just not holding my breath.
More to the point. I'd rather Sony just totally restructure their smartphone division. |

It's about the executive board Seem like none of them are being serious about mobile division.

Slimming down the bezels has never been a technological limitation, but a design choice limitation. Sony could have slimmed the bezels along with everyone else if they wanted to, but chose not to. Heck, they were already ahead of the curve with the Xperia ZL back in 2013.
Anyways, folding phones are coming and are going to be a major part of smartphones going forward. They're going to gobble up the small size tablet market (whatever's left of it), so having a plan for a folding phone has to be on pretty much every manufacturers drawing board by now. We know Sony's been working on flexible displays for a long time, and we know from previous articles that Sony and LG Display are working on a folding display. So with all of that, why wouldn't Sony have something to show assuming they're able to get all the parts together? We've got new mobile management that's saying we'll begin to see the fruits of their new efforts come MWC 2019, so I think it's on the table. |

I feel worried by the durability of a fordable phone.
The body, not screen.
Oled is still too expensive, while LCD gets cheaper and cheaper.
That kind of phone won't be the major type.
I doubt any company can offer that below $1000 any soon.
