That render is just a placeholder. The onleaks version should be closer to reality. Matte finish is also possible. The new earbuds have copper. Maybe X2 will have it too. There were rumors about 2 not having purple.
Did Xiaomi really confirm 108mp? Well, now we can forget it altogether. BTW with 1/1.7*16 the sensor would be way smaller than I originally calculated. About 1.9um pixels only. |

I need help with this curiosity. When I was looking for new xperia few years ago I found out M4 had a silver version, but not listed on sony website. Was it exclusive for any market like China or Taiwan?
Yes ... they said redmi note 8 is getting 64MP. Ice Universe posted 108MP isocell photo with comment Mix4 ..
xiaomi also posted something "misterious" about cam.
I asked to bring back white. Done
I asked for eye AF. Done
I asked for copper ...
I asked for Acoustic Surface ...
I asked for NFC charging .....
Now I will ask for a 70MP ( non-QB sensor), to stop following Supersaf on twitter, to stop sending review unit to Verge etc..

" Sony partnered with San Francisco’s Academy of Arts University for the Sony Xperia Summer Film Fest. Using the Cinema Pro app and Creator mode on the Sony Xperia 1, students had to shoot a short film (under 5 minutes) based on the words “kando”, “joy” or “wonder”.
The top 25 entries were selected and now it’s up to you to vote for the winner – head over to XperiaFilmFest to watch the films and vote for your favorite. The winner will receive $10,000 to help fund their future projects.
As you can probably guess, all the films were shot in 21:9, matching the aspect ratio of the Xperia 1’s screen. Most creators shot in 24fps (a feature of the Cinema Pro app) for an even more cinematic feel.
The Sony Xperia Summer Film Fest will take place in a week on August 14 where the 25 films will be screened for attendees and the winner will be announced."

Haha the last part I've already said before. They had to do something like this, good for them.
Idk if it was market dependent I saw an m4 aqua in gray /silver back when they were available. And before they got out of the market. |

4*27mp quadbayer thing is it confirmed?
sony semiconducter can loose their market share for chinese brands if they coulndt counter new 108 and 64 mp sensors from samsung.

Xiaomi , Oppo and Vivo have been mixing Isocell and Exmor for few years already.
Other companies like Lenovo/Motorola, HMD and even Apple.
Sony Mobile too .... 🤬🤬🤬
All this because they are cheaper. Of course performance is not same of an Exmor.
Difference must be less than 10%.
But cheaper price is enough for many to make this choice.
Pocketnow says this 108MP was made by Sammy according Xiaomi's desire.
Might be exclusive.

I agree, blackzeros. Sony is silent about their 64mp, if it even exists.
Samsung sensors are thinner? Someone said something like that. I wonder if this 108mp has more compact pixels than 0.8um.
I don't know if it's confirmed to be Quad Bayer. I think 3*3*12 could also be used to get purer colors, maybe. |

This note 10 is a revamped xzp and nobody is mentioning it. Gsmarena says "it's an unmistakable note design."  are they kidding, this doesn't look like a galaxy at all. And the fact that non plus comes with 1080p I believe it's very likely X2 has fhd too. |

I still believe QHD.
Rumors say 3000mAh.
If 10+ with 6,5" has 3000mAh, no way they give 3000 to X2 if it is 6" FHD.
Pentile probably was reason XZ3 moved to QHD.
It would be like using HD RGB screen on XZ2P.

If it would make it cheaper I think they should do it. It's still 457 ppi, not too bad. If you want more you'd get 1.
Most of the things are rendered in lower resolution to save battery anyway.
1440p on 6" is unlikely imo due to high ppi. Only 1 month left, no new leaks. |

Screen area of 10 has same value of LG G6.
84,1 cm2. Considering that G7 is QHD, ppi would be same if X2 is QHD.
Which is 564.
XZ3 has 534, larger screen area than X10.

Ppi is not calculated by area. G7 is a wider shorter screen. You need to fit 1440 pixels in 6cm /2.36 inches. Makes 610 ppi |

Same area, same resolution , same ppi.

No its pixel per inch not square. If it was you'd get much higher numbers. 610 ppi is for 6" 21:9 not for the G7. X10 is 1080p 1080/2.36=457. Short side of the 21:9 6" is 2.36" so you need to fit 1440 pixels in that length.
So the sphinx is the better version of 1, right? Zack was saying next 4k will be next year. It must mean either sphinx is higher res or it won't arrive before the year ends
