My friend who work in Sony Thailand's factory confirm this. Just for a premium line. Not sure about regular flagship but I hope it's the same.

Still dont understand what you have against G.
At the moment the best lens are Sony.
Distortion of XZP/XZ1 was lack of proper software correction compared to previous generations , because Z5 had wider lens but less distortion. X series have way less corner softness than Z .

Xperia lost ishitsuka，the next gen xperia will have a powerful camera set up, but, the experience will as always.

When will they release a 5G phone?
In Japan only Apple is relevant among foreign brands.
No iphone 5G till september/2020.
5G is helping sales of S10 in Korea.

Well, since Z5 the g lens make me feel like I was the idiot who pay a lot of money for flagship phone with freaking bad camera.

Something I dont undestand.
JDi is in trouble, they aremteying to find investors to start oled production.
So far I did not read anywhere Sony ismputting any cent.
Just Apple, one chinese company and another from Taiwan.
Can anyone share the specs and design of 1s and 1v?
Are both Japan exclusive?

I am a happy owner of J9110, bought 7 of these babies in fact. And I am excited to see J8010. I am so used to switching phone twice a year, and was getting annoyed if there is nothing new in MWC.

As an owner of J9110, I will not feel bad if Xperia had bring a stronger phone in IFA.
However, that 6 cam setup is very likely to be dropped. The cost is too high for SOMC and they don't have enough resources to make it works. As Zackbuks said Xperia 1 will be the only flagship in 2019. So, Xperia 2 will more likely to be a downgraded Xperia 1 or early access to 2020 dream phone |

It meams they want to do something.
Let's suppose only main cam gets new sensor.
The old ones get much cheaper.
Xperia 1 is $950 in USA. Cheaper than XZ2P.
Cheaper than 2017 iphone.
I dont think this device would pass $1100.

Look at the result of Nokia 9. I have no expectation on Light camera, especially with Xperia camera software team. To me, Light camera is just a piece of gimmicky trash. Also, I don't think that leaked concept is for Light camera. |
