Looks like the LG G8 has a "Crystal Sound OLED" speaker that uses the screen for a speaker just like Sony OLED TVs. I know we've discussed the feature before and am curious how good it actually is.
To any of the insides, do we know if the X1 is going to have a similar feature since (based on the pics so far) it doesn't have stereo front speakers? |

Render has the earpiece. Does not make sense having it if the screen was a speaker.
Sadly it does not seem to have.

From the review, this crystal sound OLED only for earpiece for phone conversation, not really replacing the actual speaker. |

According to GSM Arena:
"LG has implemented a resonating panel that emits sound. It acts as stereo speakers (LG calls it Crystal Sound OLED) and in combination with the Boombox speaker tech, it promises amazing sound quality. There's an inner chamber used for resonance, which helps with the bass, the fullness of the audio and loudness as well. The screen speaker also acts as an earpiece during normal calls clearing up some space at the top bezel/notch."
So it looks like they're using it for the device's actual external speaker in addition to the earpiece |

It sounds confusing, if the chamber is on top (Where the earpiece should have been) it can not be stereo. |

V50 has stereo. G8 does not.
Does new xperia use Amoled or IGZO oled?
They dont have 120Hz for their own phones, how could have to sell?

That's why I think they'll sell their Xperia 1 by June and Xperia 10 series & L3 before that, with L3 being sold in limited markets.

"Nokia 9 PureView and a few more phones, and the Sony event both scored 16% of the vote. The Nokias were unveiled this Sunday, the new Xperia 1 will be unveiled on Monday. While early hype was equal, things may change as rumors give way to official information – and our hands-on reviews, of course."

I am glad Sony logo is back on rear panel.
I hope and need the set up to be 666 + 412 + ToF.
Not fake zoom nor uwa.
If they provide stronger Stamina, something like 3580 I can forgive.
Also hope no more hybrid sim slot... too stupid |

I am excited that we might finally be moving on from the IMX400 sensor! |

@Hawk12
Why do you keep getting excited for a sensor that never existed? (I'm talking about IMX666).
Besides, it's already confirmed that they'll be using triple 12 MP sensors (wide + ultra-wide + telephoto).

Does anyone here know if Sony is going to make a special 5G phone/5G version of X1? Because let's face it and mark my words, they're going to sell it by June.

Hmm, anyone think the partnership with Light being announced before MWC might be coincidental? Or could there be a device coming with 4+ cameras using Light's tech? We obviously haven't heard a peep about a Premium model yet, so I suppose it's always possible the tech might be used there.

Maybe Sony's ditching the Premium models for one single flagship every year (although that's very questionable). If there's going to be any Premium model at all, it'll be launched next year, I guess (looking at the patterns for each premium device, 1.5 years apart in selling time).
