Will the international version be 5G too or just japanese?

For example, rumours say only in Korea the S10 will be 5G.

I don’t know, but most of 5G phones will be carrier variants, so i think sony nor samsung won’t launch generic global 5g.

Huh ? Which one do you mean ?

Not the current 5-Axis EIS on Xperia for sure as it only work for video.

Ois will always be a welcome addition..

At first everyone thought that dvs was related with ois lol...

I think the 1/2.3 sensors are eating up too much space.. If they want ois and thinner phones and no camera hump.. They should go for 1/2.5 like other oems and improve the software... Thickness is still an issue for sony phones

Aube is to avoid OIS.
No need to go slow than 1/8s.
Smaller sensors can't handle all that ISO.

Premium is the Lord of Darkness...

It is developed by Toshiba and brought by SONY. What I heart is they try to put this into either XZ2P or that special device first. But now they facing massive technical difficulty. I also heart of that special device already suspended. So, I really get loss on which phone I should wait.

Personally, I still trust about the special device but they may just put it in to Premium line.

Maybe it took them 3 years to make it work? Article says they developed, but not that it was already made and some OEM used it in one of their devices.

Come on!!!! That tech need to combining 2 pic 60times. That is not easy for mobile device. Time, computation power, heat.

Honestly, how hard for them to put OIS. A company ,who always have trouble on making software, try to invent something new? I don't know. No expectations on them.

I also heart if they still cannot make it work. Than we will finally got OIS. So many rumors which are contradicted.

Not only on XB, but on comment session of tech sites people say the dimensions of XA3, XA3U and L3 do not match 18:9.
Ultra is taller than Note 9, but narrower.
Part of content is recorded with ratio pretty close to 21:9.

Based on XA3 renders, if you crop only the display area it makes around 624x278 which translates to around 2.25:1 aspect ratio. It's like 20.5:9. You can also use a ruler tool in PS or Photopea. So if renders are real there's no doubt it will have a pretty tall display.

For example 140 mm x 60 mm = 5.996" 21:9
But 16:9 > 18:9 > 21:9 if same diagonal.

6" 16:9 = 99,2 cm2
6" 18:9 = 92,9 cm2
6" 21:9 = 84cm2

one step closer to my dream phone, full 21:9 aspect ratio screen with minimal bezel.... But I hope the next premium can be 21:9 5040X2160 uncompromising screen not something like 3840X1645 so 16:9 UHD contents will fill the screen with black bars without cropping, stretching or some weird ass scaling down to fit screen. That would perfect.
