If they want to remove the microSD they should have 128GB as the least options, 256GB for a high-end.
The best scenario is to have 128GB and a microSD that supports SD Express standard.

I think Compact will have the highest chance of missing a SD card slot.

what I don't know though, is the device name. Maybe XA3, XA3 Ultra, or mid range compact?

What if they bring back the jack? I also don't want the jack and sd card slot go away. But I prefer they fit in a jack. SD card can be replaced by cloud storage. Jack can't. Unless they offer 2 type-c. However, A55 support LDAC Bluetooth DAC and Xperia released the USB DAC earphone. That may be the reason they cut the jack. The output aren't good anyway. USB DAC may be the future of Xperia Music if they keep doing mobile.
Personally, I don't think Xperia will keep continue after 2020.

Sharp has a response to Xz3.
Aquos Zero. In-house oled, SD845, 128Gb, ugly notch..
I don't think they have something with 660 or 670.
The old A series was flagship inside, same specs of z3c, maybe plastic I don't know.
It was like a compact version of z2.

A series is a cheaper version of compact/f as I remember. Plastic body. The spec is same. J series is a reband series of A.
Don't forget Aquos have Sense series. A large mid-range series that helps Sharp overtake Xperia. Now Xperia need to release some mid-range phone to fight back. Flagship already being taken by Apple.

I don't know why Sony is cheap on memory, RAM and internal, the last they should use large and fast ones.. If they're promoting premium quality and level, they have to commit.

Since XZ Premium they use ddr4x and ufs 2.1..
Ddr5 and ufs3.0 are not for sale yet.
There is nothing better.
Asia gets 6Gb and pay less than Europe /America.
I heard xz1 sales are on the rise in Japan. Not sure if it just docomo units or unlocked too. |

I own XZ1 and I've to admit that UFS storage on XZ1 is not really good. It's slower than competitor.
I hope they change the lens for the next flagship.

Did You think about taxes? It's almost always a reason why something is cheaper one place and not the other...
And better unit is coz of sales - in Asia they have to be better, so it's worth for Sony to make better devices for them. |

I hope they get rid of this crappy 2.5D glass because the edges of my XZ2 Compact are scuffed, not even from a drop. Gorilla glass scratches so easily, utter dog turd. I miss the recessed screen of the Z5. |
