For those of you that remember Ericsson as the once pre-eminence is mobile network switching and base station back in GPRS, EDGE and early 3G/HSPA networks across the globe, it seems their close to bankruptcy days are gone and their competitions and signing new contracts for 5G again in the USA:

Seems they already have a deal with AT&T with Samsung and Nokia.
Love their still in the game. |

Having stocks in Ericsson since over 15 years back, I'm happy. Ericsson have had some serious issues, but they really have done everything right so far with 5G.

Ericsson would go bankrupt if they try to compete with huawei and Samsung in the handset market.
Hopefully they get 5G contracts

From what I understand, Ericsson already handed over most of their patents related to mobile communications to Sony after the buyout on 2011, So unless Sony sells their mobile division back to Ericsson or to another Swedish company related to the old , There wouldn't be a "Nokia"-esque ressurection happening anytime.

Ericsson should make high-end classic [button] phones with true Ericsson style. Just an elegant niche products in limited amount. For example Ericsson T66 and T68.
