With its faster camera and better low light capabilities, it might not require OIS. We'll have to wait for hands on of course... |

Oh come on. It's 2018 already.
This phone is THICKER than most similar phones and still can't pack an OIS.
OIS makes for greater photos. That's a proven fact. |

While true, if the new camera can increase the shutter speed and compensate with a higher ISO then it should be able to achieve the same thing without OIS.
BTW, When's the OP gonna update the picture? lol

High ISO on 2 different sensors working in tandem with a dedicated image signal processing chip, it should be interesting. I'd suggest waiting for real world examples before making judgement because I would find it hard to believe Sony would heavily push this new camera tech and its capabilities if it were utter garbage.
I don't expect to see perfectly clean pictures at ISO 51,200, but if it's capable of taking half decent quality images in conditions that other smartphones can't touch, then that's a great selling point. I'm hoping this does for smartphones what the A7S did for full frame cameras. |

Good grief! 236g!? What is running in that thing, a coal mine? That's heavier than the 6.4inch Xperia Z Ultra.
This has to be kind of awkward for those who just bought the recently XZ2 though.
All the best Sony.
