Looks like a mid-range sensor.

Yep.but could also be used as 12 MP pixel binning ( quality up for debate) 1.6 UM for lowlight.
Just wanted to share I don't think it's related to Sony flagship.

Great find man!

I don't believe in 10th anniversary phone but something like this could be presented at the MWC for the new Premium.

I spoke to a guy. He says ambient flow is here to stay and will be refined. The response has been positive in the sense that it is so much more comfortable than the loop design. There is actually a lot that can be done to change the back with nice colours and refraction techniques as well as different contours as the theme of water means you can have many shapes and curves so it is open to change.

About OLED, he said that until the OLED is better than their LCD it won't happen citing that the only downside of the XZ2 panel is that the black borders are noticeable when watching widescreen video otherwise you couldn't really say that OLED is better and I agree. He hinted at a couple of IFA devices, one being a flagship for sure but no idea about the other so I think maybe lower end. He suggested that the XA3 line will look like the XA2 Plus from the front at least and a likely move towards ambient flow as well.

I don't believe there will be an anniversary device however, it is expected that many companies will put out some crazy designs for the next MWC so they are taking a big step ahead. He was hinting at tiny bezels, new ways to hide the selfie cam like having no notch and hiding it under the glass so the screen has a hole basically. Fold out phones to come as well as heavily curved screens that can wrap around a lot more. I don't Sony will be that brave but we shall see.

It cant be midrande sensor.. It is stacked sensor...
No one is going to give 1/2" stacked for midrange device
Maybe it was made for Apple or Google.
In case Sony keep the IMX X00 for Sony Mobile.

Yeah saw it yesterday, I'm liking where Sony is heading with the new ambient flow design. I'm hoping that single camera has a new sensor.

The render looks great, similar to the S9 in terms of shape but I like it and I hope it's real. I gut tells me that it'll look very much like the XZ2 but we shall see. If the XA2 Plus has a rounded screen then I imagine the XA3 will do too, perhaps the flagships will do too.

Anyone want to comment on the legitimacy of the render?
