The cameras do look a bit large in comparison to the XZ2 Premium

It is true, last week Buks said it can reach 900 nits.
But I have no idea if it is for short time like G7. |

more "apparent" photos here, if they are even real. I suspect the positioning of various cutout for the cases is correct but the design of the phone is not.

I read somewhere that XZ2p would be local and XZ3 worldwide. Then focus on XZ3.
Why would they focus on it if it's not their best device?
Hard to believe that it might be just a XZ2 with dual cam and better selfie.

I suspect you may be right about the cut out being accurate but the device itself not necessarily being correct - although that would still suggest dual cam due to the size/shape of the back cut-out.
Also I think it makes sense to focus on XZ3 as it is a more mainstream device - it's cheaper and a more reasonable size so I think more people would be interested. XZ2 Premium mostly just appeals to die-hard Sony fans and tech enthusiasts, due to both of those factors (likely too expensive and/or large for many). |

Peak 1000 nits, ofc it will be short time for HDR and outdoors or your retinas will be etched forever
However, XZ2P panel is an higher grade quality panel (with hidden 144Hz, shh its a secret, dont tell those Razer fans or they will heart broken ) than G7 due to Sony has the ability to shove more money, oh the irony, and not LG who must done cost cutting for its G7.

Why is it hidden?
Last year I read article that teached how to use 120Hz on XZP.
Also that all X flagships are 120HZ.

If that screen protector is anything to go by, then I am sold. Symmetric bezels look so much more clean than one side being bigger than the other. I'm ready to get the XZ3 from day one if it turns out to be premium in a smaller form. Hopefully it stays without curved edges.

Android Headlines, GSMArena and PA already got LORD OF DARKNESS for tests.
GS even took S9, Pixel 2 and P20p for a night walk with Premium.
AH compares to u12 and p20p..
Many shots the difference is pretty obscene.

The first xperia, the X1 came out in october 2008, announced in February though, meaning 10 years of xperia would be this year. Would be great to see Sony releasing something unique for the 10 years of xperia but not holding me breath.
Perhaps sony will release a 10th year anniversary xperia theme to their phones
