*cough*....XZ2P is the first smartphone to use MLCD+ screen from LGD, but not the first one to sells so G7 took the crown...
And the heat is actually from the processor, but the sensor damage is true but not that serious....

Why does this Premium have LG screen?
JDi is the biggest LCD supplier on earth.
Soon or later screen will bleed light and pixels die.
LG LCD is awful...

I was going to wait if the some sellers bring the phone to sell here not officially.
Some department stores have XZs, I dont know what kind of guarantee they give because Sony did not bring it.
Now I will have to pass. LG screen are bad.
Many of G series had issues. LG is one of Apple suppliers, the touch disease of i6+.
I guess Motorola is client too. Many G4 had burn in..
My LG tablet has light bleed, my previous Xperia does not. Nor the current one.
Ppl will have issues within few months...
This cost cut will become cost of screen replacement... |

Ask any photographers and they will say the story of bigger pixels is BS.
Just tech sites keep this idea. Even if they are smaller, but there are much more of them.
...
Only advantage of P20 Pro beside the big sensor is that NIGHT MODE.
Because of shutter up to 6s. Of course any phone using 6s will.outperform another using 1/15s.
Turning 2 or 4 pixels into one always fails. Many have tried.
Tech sites and Sony mobile, apparently. Oh, and you've contradicted yourself.

So the long shutter speed on every phone actually the fake thing ? or is it just for Huawei phone ?
Sony is poor on controlling heat anyway. Also, Phone should be shoot by hand but not tripod. It is almost impossible to hold a phone steadily in a few seconds. So, Samsung make a large aperture and combine 20 picture into 1 . Sony use dual camera and ultra-high ISO.
1. Sony is poor on controlling heat? Name a phone that can record 4k for longer. BTW, does S9 still have a time limit for 4k videos?
2. I use a tripod quite often. |

" So photos taken at night are still exceptionally clear and vivid".
We all know what happens when iso goes up....
Dont believe everything Sony says ...
1) They said XZ was the most advanced cam they made years ago, samples of X Perf were better.
2) XZ Premium is better than XZ because of software, cpu and newer sensor, not pixel size. Pics of XZP are not equal to XZs.
3) Remember the change from imx220 to imx300? Imx220 has 1.2 micron, same of Motion Eye, while imx300 has 1.0 or 1.12. The Z5 humiliates the other Z.
4) High Res brings benefits to EIS. No way the steadyshot of XZ2 is better than XZ. Actually no phone is stable like XZ.
Google and Htc dropped the 12.2MP/1.55 micron to use 12MP/1.4 micron.
Both even use same sensor since they became partners on Pixel.
Actually before , because 6p and 10 share the sensor
@xpr S9 = 10 min 4K30 or 5 min 4k60 ... OnePlus and Htc put limit too. I dont know about other brands.

XZ2's EIS performs without a doubt better than on the XZ.
Pixel size isn't, obviously, the only important parameter but it's nonetheless one of them. In other words, you can't hold a comparison based on pixel size alone when other variables aren't the same.

LMAO, u dont know Sony always use 2-3 screens from different MFG for every Xperia???
AUO, JDI, Sharp, LGD, even Innolux and some others on cheap devices...
And actually Steadyshot EIS on XZ isnt true 5-axis, 5-axis only applies on some certain conditions, not always like later Xperias....
I personally designed some of parts u maybe using in your phone, so please dont speak like you know it all...

Of course the newer the phone, the stabilisation will work better.

Let me guess.. Places like South America and Africa ( where all brands charge at least 50% more) get cheapest screen. Am i right?
Anyway to find out which screen the device has?
Those xz2 with issues must be LG.
I said based on all video samples I watched... Many videos
The 4K stabilization did not seem as strong as previous years..
1080p is still the best. Front cam too...
In my opinion OP6 has the best for 4K atm.

If you want to compare video stabilisation between those phones, make sure they were taken at the same time, by the same person, at the same place, and with the same shakiness.
