Huawei says P20 Pro does not have OIS.
But how can it go 6s without blur?
That guy on youtube that performs teardown and durability tests says it has OIS for all rear cameras.

The difference between Premium and XZ2/XZ is shocking.
Hope I can get one silver for me.

Sony Mobile loves Taiwan, their 2nd most important market.
They overtook Htc there years ago.

Huawei phones have AIS (AI Stabilisation), yeah cheesy, uncreative, and stupid name but that's how they called them. It is basically OIS+EIS like Pixel 2.

I think those XZ2P sample looks good, I don't see why it needed more brightness since that already looks great and natural.

Is the imx400 going to stay?
They have been changing every 3-4 semesters.

Someone on XB made on computer two possibilities for XZ2s/XZ3.
With 18:9 screen and two cameras design ( XZ2P style and Mate 10 style)
Just check the article about the leaked photos..

it's not about ois that cant help 6 second shutter speed.ois can correct handshake but couldnt human or other objects movements.

only telephoto lens have hardware stabilization, other teardown probably mixed up it with focusing mechanism as jerry said in the video.

I cant remain steady 6s. Not even 0.5s shutter.

https://youtu.be/s0efUwnVZQg The only video of the event I found so far.

So, if I buy XZ2P on Xmas then 2 months later its successor will wipe floor with XZ2P.
Damn.. 😵

I like and use sony phones but currently what they have done this year and omitting features that are actually useful it looks like they are just digging their own grave and in the end they'll just say that people just weren't interested in their phones whereas they were and had eagerly anticipated their phones but they just didn't listen

I've heard from SONY's sales representative that the design will be better on next year's model but not sure how it will be. Also several staff mention that OIS is coming soon which I doubt as they said so many time before...

^ THAT CRACKED ME UP

What is your phone? I thought my Z3's camera pointing at my bedroom and it recognises the scene as "Documents" was bad enough.

What a difference. It humiliates XZs.

The RGB and Monochrome have same focal length ( 25mm) but different DOF caused by f1.6 and f1.8.
How can they merge them when both are not exactly equal?

Complex algorithms. My guess is that they're primarily utilising light information rather than colour/shape/texture and then feeding it into the image processing algorithm dealing with the colour data.
