Check samples of OP5 on Gsmarena.
They are a joke.
If you check photo tool the difference between XZ1 and OP5t is huge.
Then you can check samples of XZ2 against any phone.
All lose.

No wonder why op5 got lower score than z5 before dxo changed protocol.

That trick 2 or 4 pixel become 1 bigger always fails.
Just to fool ppl.
5MP does not show noise, nor any detail.

The 12MP 1.4 micron is much more popular than 12MP 1.55.
Pixel size is not near as important as ppl think.

Any photo from any flagship of any brand will always look cleaner and noise free at lower resolution.
Do you think it is coincidence that most use 12MP only? Not even 16 ?

One plus cameras are always average. Even if they put out tetra cam the quality will be average.

That is a true statement. The same can be said about cameras gound in Xperia phones.
OP6 vs Pixel 2. Almost as good as the Pixel Camera.

OP6 is a "clone" of its sister, Oppo R15, even the camera. LOL, hardly call an improvement and innovation...

@Dacha
Yes that's also true but Xz2 seems to change that. I don't think OP6 will ever match pixel.

I always thought I was a Sony fanboy, probably one of those closet cases that everyone knew before me.

I um'd and ah'd about the OP6, thinking 'could I deal with the notch? The lack of IP rating?', I couldn't decide.

Then I imagined it with a Sony logo and realised I'd buy it instantly and berate Sony for underselling themselves.

I'm a reformed Sony-holic before I realised I was an addict.

PA gave 9 to OP6 and 8 to G7.

There are 6 cons on OP6 review, should be more than 6.
But only 4 against G7.

According to them G7 design is not original. Yes it is not.
But is the least ugly notched phone.
But design was not a con for OP6, it was even against iphone X.

Other sites will do same. Brand matters more than hardware/software.

Sony admits that it hasn’t moved fast enough in mobile

Sony reiterated that it will be double-downing on 5G technology, and enhance its offerings by leveraging the rest of Sony’s product portfolio. It will also look to Europe as a key region to grow its offering, by further developing partnerships with carriers. Let’s hope Sony uses its self-awareness to offer competitive products in the very near future.

Sony is once again going to ignore a very large US market. Now I am not surprised that the XZ2 doesn't support VoLTE in the USA.

USA is a very important market, maybe the #1.
But is already dominated by Apple.

In my country Sammy has almost 50% marketshare, second is Lenovo/Moto ( including Vibe phones).
Not even 15%.

Some markets are lost. Better focus some places they stand chance

US didn't even care about Sony anymore, so why should Sony care about them? One or two phone(s) per year would be enough for them.

I think they'll do well in Indonesia, despite the whole oppo and vivo propaganda happening since last year and their product launch that was livestreamed in almost every single channel in our television (which is utterly ridiculous), and also despite samsung's domination here.

If only they could at least agreed to meet Indonesia's requirements in order to sell their products here (their last products in Indonesia was the Z5 series).

https://www.fudzilla.com/news[....]-giving-up-on-consumer-gadgets

Fudzilla is an anti apple mock site but the core news is accurate. The title is a bit misinterpreted or might be done on purpose to be a click bait.

I am waiting for a device with minimum bezel and supports pen function and has a screen size of 6.2 to 6.5 inches. Would be an ideal workhorse.
SE p910i was the last best device that SE came out with...

Z Ultra has pen input support. And there was special pen (ES22) for it.
