Well, it's nice to see functional units being shown. I wonder if GSM Arena might have gotten a sample unit yet.

I noticed something back MWC..

Look at the two screens. On XZ2p there are no icons ( tripod/low light).
They are on XZ.

Could be the new camera is fast and good enough to not need a tripod mode, or the new camera software has it removed as a design decision... who knows. Hope it's the former rather than the latter

From the 3 videos on youtube, it looks like people couldn't/weren't allowed to launch camera app, probably far from being ready yet. Hopefully we will see some western outlets with hands-on articles soon.

Mine sometimes believes the cable of its charger is a tripod.

Curious to see if we can set ISO 51200 like regular way or if there is a super low light mode like P20 Pro.
I still want to know how can P20p go 4s without OIS and no blur.
I cant stay steady that much.

So releasing a phone 2 weeks before IFA... I guess we won't see the 10th anniversary device.

Not at IFA, but if any "aggressive" OEM releasing 5G supporting (SDM855) device, I think it will be SONY.

Not quite. The XZ2 Premium is already announced and from what spek says it'll be released very soon. Based on his info, the August release date is just for that particular carrier in Japan.

Could be!

@spektykles; what's your info on the upcoming 5G phones? When do you expect the new Premium with 5G?

It is true. There is an article, I dont remember if it is on sumaho, that few OEMs will be agressively trying to get hands on 855 this year.

I just watched the video on app now. The gray version reminds me a bit of Z3+ aqua green.

Yes correct the article is on sumahoinfo
I believe Sony, Huawei, Samsung will push for the Snapdragon 855/5g tech for the end of the year at least 1 to 3 devices depending on manufacturer

So what should we do? Buy the premium? Or is there a more breathtaking device coming to IFA?

I won't say no to a larger device.

This vid actually opens the camera app and plays around a bit. It's a bit choppy and slow for now.

The Sharp Sense reminds me of the Xperia xz2 series, and seeing the xz2 premium more live and up close, it's looking good
