The camera APK of XZ2 is now available in apkmirror.com. When I searched the apk I found these icons that have something to do with a dual camera set up:

cam_core_dual_effect_menu_bokeh_icn.png
cam_core_dual_effect_menu.png
cam_core_dual_effect_menu_monochrome_icn.png
cam_core_dual_effect_menu_off_icn.png

Does this mean that aside from the high ISO for photos and videos that was showcased in MWC, it could also have a bokeh and monochrome effects? Or will these possibly be available in one of the next Xperia devices that will also have dual cameras after the XZ2 Premium?

Also, there are tutorial images about taking selfies on an 8-inch and 10-inch tablets:

cam_core_eye_position_tutorial_port_tablet_8inch_icn.png
cam_core_eye_position_tutorial_port_tablet_10inch_icn.png
cam_core_eye_position_tutorial_tablet_8inch_icn.png
cam_core_eye_position_tutorial_tablet_10inch_icn.png
cam_core_fast_switch_tutorial_port_tablet_8inch_icn.png
cam_core_fast_switch_tutorial_port_tablet_10inch_icn.png
cam_core_fast_switch_tutorial_tablet_8inch_icn.png
cam_core_fast_switch_tutorial_tablet_10inch_icn.png

Is it possible that Sony is planning to release tablets again?

I tried installing the camera apk on my XZ but it can't. If I can't install it on my XZ then obviously it cannot also be installed on any previous tablets of Sony. So I am thinking that, possibly, there could be new tablets in the future given these PNGs stated above are in the camera apk details of XZ2 camera app which could also posibbly be the same apk that will be used on future Xperia devices.

I'd say it's more probable that we'll see a phone that folds out into a tablet from Sony before we see another dedicated tablet from them.

XZ2 does support double tap to wake, when the ambient display is on at standby mode, you could double tap the screen to wake the phone up, and go to lockscreen.

I don't which phone also has the front cam in the lower bezel. I think a Chinese one.. but the UI let's you flip the phone so the front cam moves to the top which make things a little bit less awkward.

I really miss the Sony tablets. We have Sony to thank for forcing the tablet industry to go thin and light and extending the lifecycle of that form factor.

In my opinion nothing on the market even now matches what the Z4 Tablet did.

If they released a new one I'd buy it, but I doubt they will. Tablets are in decline. They should have kept their laptop division as laptops are mopping up the fall out from tablet decline and desktop PC's slow death.

It would maybe work great with in screen FPS.

Is there also double tap to sleep on home screen?

Does anyone have good news?

Because the ugliness of XZ2, no jack, flagships that might bring cam near bottom and price ( if XZ2 is more than $800 I cant imagine price of the other two) are so sad news.

New sensor bar is weird. Many tech sites say FPS is not easy to use, they are often touching the camera.
They should have decided for 1 design for speakers grill, not use both.
NFC beside camera.
Front does not look like Sony phone.

The shape of the back is not an issue, it reminds me of C and SP.
But both are thinner in the middle and thicker near bezels.

When I look at XZP, I see something that is fancy and expensive.
I dont feel the same about XZ2.

It is easy to recognise XZ1c as compact of XZ1.
But XZ2 and XZ2c dont seem to be big and smaller.
It is like X and Xc.

Don't know any details but I heard NTT docomo will release 3 xperias this summer and one of them is tablet. So I think it's quite possible.

Sony no longer support old xperia tablet's camera apk like Z4 tablet or Z3 tablet compact.
So this is almost certain proof that they are developing new tablets.
