@XJ The "wireless" dock of XZ2 is too thick. When Blass posted on twitter, someone asked if it was also a speaker.
Do you know if it has a battery inside to allow ppl use where there is no outlet around?
It is really big
My guess would be a smart speaker/wireless charger rather than a portable wireless charger.
No new news XJ? NO pro? |

Yeah regarding the wireless charging, I hope it can charge in horizontal mode also...

Should be able to charge as long as the minimum ranges are met. What I worry is hope they solve the slow charge of wireless charging and as fast as qc4~ |

^^^
It depends on the location of the transmitter and the receiver, if the receiver in the phone is in the middle and the whole surface of the charger is a transmitter then it's okay.. but if the receiver in the phone is in bottom (I know it might not make sense there) then it won't be an optimal position for horizontal docking...

Telephoto is currently the best implementation of dual cam i think
Second cam in apple and Samsung also provide 2x optical zoom.
It is also the most wanted feature
When talking with my frnds who are not mobile enthusiasts...
They think the dual cam on mia1 and op5 are better than iphone lolzzz |

I understand that it is used to spare the usb.
But in my opinion there are more CONS than PROS.
I dont rembember if it happens on LG G3, but on Samsung phones this charging is slower compared to usb.
The temperatures rises even more.
If phone is not perfectly placed, it does not charge.
Many things you cant do while it is charging.
Coil takes some space.
I dont see benefits.
Really wish to hear if NFC charging will be ready any soon. This would be useful.
Optical zoom is great, but 2x is still weak.
5x or more would be more than welcome.
Laser AF sensor can assist to improve Background Defocus.
They even renamed it to BOKEH. I updated but here name is still BD.
Main issue is the fact it asks you to be between 15 - 45 cm from object.

In how many hours does the event begin? I got a bit confusing due to timezones and Google isn't helping. |

And speaking of the camera placement and FPS placement I guess Sony know their bezel has gone thin therefore camera placed further down so as to create a better two-handed grip, and FPS should fit nicely on general hand .

Exactly. The FPS placement allows better reachability. Because generally, people use their phones by holding bottom half of the phone's body, not perfectly in the middle.
Here's what I meant:
Instead, people use their phones like this:
Daily Drivers: Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S22 Ultra, and iPhone 14 Pro Max Secondary: vivo X80 Pro Still using as a backup: Xperia XZ2 Still using (not as much): Galaxy Tab A 8.0 |

Of course it has a purpose.. Never seen sony take a wrong step unlike some other oems, ala Samsung..
Design might look little bad but ergonomics and easy use? Sony got that covered |
