Wish the ring around cam was flat, like Z phone. Even like XZ is acceptable.
It looks like XZs camera.
Mine only have scratches because of a few falls.
It is not that fragile, not need to be ugly like cam with OIS on thin phone.

If the ring is raised, it'll protect the glass lens cover from scratching.

I don't see a headphone jack, so this is ominous. I know Sony usually put their jack on the top, but its still disconcerting.

Also that dark green XZ2 looks amazing. Fantastic colour.

Oh sorry, I forgot to put the source of the picture earlier...

-------

The wallpapers look good. When the wallpaper is shared, I think I'll set one of them as my wallpaper until I get the real XZ2 lol #Ineedanewphone

I still think that the XZ2 looks better than S9. The colour choices of XZ2 is also much much better than the ugly colours of the S9. S6 and S6 edge had great colours back then, but they've become less inspiring as the time goes. When it comes to colours, Sony phones are still the best to me.

Looking at how ridiculously expensive S9 series really are, I'll end up buying the XZ2 or if there's any, the Premium/Pro/whatever model (Sony phones in my country is cheaper when I buy it online, XZ Premium is less than $600 here at launch, and it is $500 now (they don't sell Sony phones here officially, since 2016)).

Last MWC, the whole press was about XZP.
You had to visit the booth to meet XZs, XA1 and XA1U.

Someone here days ago said the press might be 15 min only.
Not much to talk about 2 or 3 devices.
But enough to talk about one..

If there's a 3rd phone, we may found out tomorrow, maybe until 7pm...

Anybody noticed the sim/card slot slightly visible at the top left of the phone...

Anyone knows how thick exactly both these phones are?

I'll do some calculations and I'll let you all know.

I've done the math, and these are what I've gotten:

This is not a good news for some, but the XZ2 has an approximate thickness of 10.66 mm at the thickest part and 6.04 mm at the top part (thinnest part, frame only). So XZ2 thickness starts from 6 mm all the way up to 10.7 mm, ~6-10.7 mm thick.

Even worse news for XZ2 Compact, as the phone has an approximate thickness of 12.19 mm at the thickest part and 6.92 mm at the top part (thinnest part, frame only). So XZ2 Compact is ~6.9-12.2 mm thick.

At least they'll be much more comfortable to hold.

That's too much
9.5mm with curve max is the limit. Most phones these days are 8mm or less. More than 10mm is
Thanks for the calculations.

Didn't know that Sony Mobile has quit officially selling in M'sia market already, sad news. Then only import device is your option available?

It was suspicious but I didn't ask my friend about it, lately haven't see him post about his Sony Mobile's product road show as usually.

Final render look bit better than early one, but still not fit to my taste

Not so sure if glass cover for camera lens and fingerprint sensor will scratch easily

unless Sony will make surprise with sapphire glass?

you will not hold the phone from thickest point, it'll like holding 8,5-9 mm phone at worst maybe even more comfortable though compact's thickness loos like too much.

The compact needs to be thicker to manage the heat produced by the components. You can't cheat physics.

I live in Indonesia. Their last phone here is Z5 series, they're still selling them here today. Yup, Sony fans here purchased their 2016 and newer phones online. It is because of the country's regulation for 4G phones.

What we know about the 148mm model? Where it was leaked? It was FCC or what? Can't find it anywhere...

We have XZ2 (H82xx) and XZ2C (H83xx) and H81xx is still missing...

BTW, thickness of XZ2C reminds me my good old X10 (13mm, released in 2010)
