You have to give credit to Apple - their A11 chip is amazing, other than that i think that the S8/S8+ design is much more beautiful than that of the X. |

I think Apple will clean up with this, I suppose its now a match for the Android flagships in terms of bezel size so when it comes down to performance it'll probably be awesome. The new A11 chips are supposed to be sensational. Even though the price is ridiculous I can guarantee that the demand for this will be insane. I'm glad to see that 4K recording comes at 60fps plus slo-mo at 1080p, these little things do make a difference. My gripe with this is the loss of the fingerprint scanner because that will always be better than any iris or face scanner. |

It's the essential phone applefied. Don't like that notch at the top. Don't like it on the essential phone either. $1000 is crazy but they will still sell millions.

At first I scoffed at the 64GB storage entry price. HXEF compression for pictures and videos needs to be seen just how much storage is saved! Should've been 128GB but with a $300US difference most of the IPX sales will be for 256GB storage.
It's not for everyone - I'll wait until next years refinement.
BUT Apple spending advertising costs on animoji POOP in a commercial? FRAKIN' STUPID!
At least the deisgn is refreshing, even with similarities to the Essential phone. Cannot imagine just how much money Essential LOST with late production and shipping woes!!

I agree Supa_fly , I think Apple should have released a 128 GB version for 1000 USD (1000gbp here in UK 😱). They probably figured that not many would buy 256 version if they did |

the iPhone X hasn't shipped anywhere yet and pre-orders still weeks out. How could you mis-read the title of the article you posted?
But this time, Apple has a more interesting phone coming out in November - the iPhone X - casting a shadow over the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus - are they still worth it with a design dating back to 2014? Let's see what the reviewers say.

If I'm not mistaken the iPhone X has not even gone into production yet, it is just the Beta units that exist.
I read somewhere early last weekend that they may end up being delayed.
