I find it laughable that GSMArena always seem to under-perform when it comes to Sony phones.
We shouldn't look blindly on Antutu numbers but the fact is that more people than we think still think Antutu scores translates into real life performance.

According to GSMArena.com, the XZ Permium just barely beat the G6 with 144k points *cough cough*
In real life according to the youtube channel Phone Battles, it beats even the mighty iPhone 7 in opening tasks and scores a nice 178k in Antutu.

I remember it was the same lousy score by GSMArena when reviewing XZ. I just happen to score about 24k more than
them in Antutu.

that's why i've always felt online reviews are nice to read but you have to take it with a grain of salt. most of those big organizations are out to make money. they have bias one way or another and there is no real way to know if they are performing these tests of theirs in the most fair way possible.

as you said, phone battles shows in real time real life usage, xzp beats practically every major flagship out there right now. benchmark scores mean jack shit. i for one am not running around every day running a benchmark. i don't think i've ever installed a benchmark app on any phone i've had. it's all about real world usage and xzp seems to be standing as king right now.

this next week is going to go so slow! sadly, i probably won't get mine until the week after if shipping starts friday.

The XZ Premium is pretty much the fastest phone on the planet now.

most comparison out there are mostly unfair, only relevant one is with the s8+ since it has the latest chipset. Neverthless it's a beast for sure !

edit: the reloading on the 3T is a bit surprising with its 6gigs

Musa.. when you're just looking at pure speed at certain tasks then it doesn't matter what chipsets or specs. It's just a matter of which is faster. Obviously you would expect a phone with the latest or better specs to be faster but it's not always the case. Look how xzs beat s8 in many tasks.

Xzp is definitely the fastest overall phone on the market. Sure it's not perfect but damn it's pretty close as far as I'm concerned

I'm really liking this phone... just broke my z3 the other day so as soon as I can get my hands on some GREAT camera samples from this one, it'll likely be my next purchase. (feel free to direct me towards 'worthy' samples)

thanks [addsig]

For those that said there's no 4K content or HDR content support for the XZ Premium. Well think again.

Netflix to support 4K HDR on the XZ Premium

Amazon Prime to support 4K HDR on the XZ Premium

XJ - both are amazon links. i posted a handful of pages back those same pages where amazon expressly lists XZP as a supported device for 4K HDR. I'm not sure what this means? but I would imagine their android App for amazon video will detect that you have an XZP and will allow you to search for and watch the 4K HDR content. XZP will be my first 4K device so I'm a bit fuzzy as to how it all works. I don't have netflix so i didn't dig around on their site.

Ah, my bad. I think the resolution is determined by your network speed but I could be wrong.
