Xperia XZs is releasing on April 5th which can also record 960p video. The tech will be out in 15-20 days not in 2 months.

2017 Sony made official for

XA > XA1
XAU > XA1U

It really nice to step up from 6 months to 1 year cycle

Z5P > XZP

big boy seem comply with 18 months cycle per launch

XZ > XZs

dilemma launch due to initial Snapdragon 835 limited availability

L1

revive of low-end market, lesson after lesson they seem never learnt

Later this year, it possible to see new launch

X > X1
X Compact > X1 Compact

this couple to tackle in for 350-500$ market, must equipped with Snapdragon 660
No matter of what NOT Snapdragon 653 unless Sony looking to practically faliure portfolio
Diff. between 652 / 653 is about supported of dual camera, and they don't up to it after all

XZs > XZ1

I personally think that it is up in the Sony's sleeves as well, full body metal design same as XZP

********************************

Samsung 1000fps, I don't believe them even they very precision at stacked semiconductor chip

Xperia L1 is not a failure, it is aimed at entry market in poor countries, it will help increase Xperia brand awareness but be super cheap.

Nope, I don't see how the Xperia L1 to can be competitive (survive) in the hoard of entry level device market.

If Sony keep insisted on super cheap way, then they won't leave China and India market in last two years.

Super cheap way is the way you write off your business inch by inch, look at Xiaomi and LG for example.

Both China and Korea counterparts sold 10 millions phone per quarter, and financially at loss.

Oppo and Vivo rising smartphone makers in China also barely make any profit out of their looking good business.

The L1 is not ultra low end and £169.99 is a decent price for a good looking phone. I predict that Sony will continue to make some profit in the coming year.

I'd like to see a real premium compact phone - XZ Compact, with the same premium finish as the XZ premium.

Yes, I did and I was clearly referring to the Samsung device not the Xperia.

Yea, looks more like that. If its real, its hard to believe Samsung managed to replicate something so quick or this is pure coincidental!

Everyone feeds into each other, they will be aware of what competitors are doing so its no surprise if S8 can shoot 1000fps. How they can do it will be interesting because its a new type of technology that may be different to what Sony have done to their sensor. I think its good because exclusivity results in iPhone level of pricing.

I have to say that I'm really impressed with the XZP so I'm even more excited about what IFA will be like.

I can only speak for docomo (Japanese) version,
all I know about XZP and XZs is XZP will be released in mid june while XZs will be released on early - mid May.

XZP will be only available through docomo, no other companies.

S8 will be even worse than this. Same camera sensor, lower battery capapcity, no quonovo charging abilities. Same laggy and bloated software. Samsung phones are truely a waste of money.

Crazy prices. Sony's pricing strategy makes a lot of sense. Paying almost a grand for a smartphone is beyond reason.

http://www.phonearena.com/new[....]axy-S8-price-in-Europe_id92510

Galaxy S8 - 21 977 Czech crowns (equivalent of around €815)
Galaxy S8+ - 24 977 Czech crowns (equals €925)

LMFAO. No 4K HDR display, 600mAh less battery than S7 edge, No Quanovo charging so battery life will be $hit within 8 months, No build in noise cancelling feature, Same 1/2.4 inch camera sensor, same amount of ram as s7, Insanely laggy and bloated software and the last to send update ( even huawei is faster than samsung, lol ) yet they are asking for that kind of price.
Looks like XZP is the only phone worth buying for the 2017.
