Looks like Sony could be stealing the show at MWC. The LG G6 looks great but doesn't really offer anything we haven't seen before and the P10 looks like an iPhone 7+ clone at the back and again nothing really new that has me excited. Tomorrow can't come quick enough now.

^ And what so special Sony has to offer that could steal the show?! It has least to offer imo... Same design and a bit boosted specs. There might be a new camera sensor but photos will still be worse then LG, Samsung and probably even P10.

^ I love your optimism mate, This new sensor is ground braking and offers something on smartphone for the very first time. As far as design goes Apple keep the same for years and no one batters an eyelid Sony have the same since September and you loose your mind and as far as image quality goes the camera on the XZ is fantastic IMO so who knows what this new sensor will be capable of in terms of image quality.

So the leaked front panel that was supposedly from the next flagship is actually from the new XA Ultra. I knew I'd seen the colour before.

I base my "optimism" on the history so far with Sony. I do not speak bullshit just to bash it. I used only Sony (Sony Ericsson) phones for the whole life until I switched to the iPhone 6 because I just want reliable camera that will never disappoint me in any situation unlike Sony did... Indoor night photos with any Sony phone are terrible (light bleed, lack of contrast and stuff like that...). It's just Sony's camera software is far behind competitors...
Honestly, I am the one who would like to see Sony phones wipe out the floor with others, but sadly, I am almost sure it won't happen.

You are free to buy any phone you think is best for you mate. Saves you the frustration.
As for me and the others, we are eagerly waiting and suprisingly I am not impressed design-wise with the other manufacturers. |

In all these years i've been following phones, Sony seems to always steal the show at MWC and IFA or whenever they announce their flagship device. It just doesn't translate to the sales they are hoping for, mostly due to the fact that they are priced high for specs that are generally a little lower than the competition. But Sony almost always seems to win on design and standout features. At least that's what it seems like to me.
If Premium is a nice upgrade on the XZ with 4K screen and all that.. i'll be very very tempted to sell my XZ and pick it up.

I thought Sony was selling/spinning off its battery division? |

I think they were trying to sell it to the JP government but didn't go through because they were asking too much. |
