Guyz here is an update from our anonymous source:when the new design launches next year at MWC2018 Sony are planning to move away completely from branding their phones with letters of the alphabet but still keeping "XPERIA" and going back to actual names just like when we had the Sony Ericsson Arc, Satio, Aino, Play and so on. None of this is confirmed but a new naming strategy with a new design does kind of make sense.

Yahooooo, we are getting new design in MWC instead of IFA 2018.

Boooo, we are still stuck with big bazel design in 2017. Atleast they should've tried to reduce the bazel in current design.

Did you ask about the kind of phones we are getting in this ifa? josep.

I thought they would keep X one more year.
Then in 2019 do something else.

It was simpler before X..

E: low end
C: selfies
T: low midrange
M: premium midrange
Z: high end

I just do not understand why there were no M1, M3, C2 and E2.

@joseph ..... Do you know if those photos are real or fake?

Well I don't think that pic shows XZ1. But that's my own judgment not the source's info.

I could never understand why they would put features like a front facing flash onto the C series phones but not their flagship. The flagship should always be the best of the best, and it makes no sense to leave out very simple features that they put on lower end phones.

Also why there's no OIS for rear camera on flagship while implement it on front camera of big size middle range ?

The new name format is well overdue, about time. Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact hardly rolls off the tongue. New design, woohoo.

@joseph

On the day photos were leaked a user on GSMArena (mikel27) left a comment.
He said G34xx has : 5.5" Full HD, Mediatek Helio P25, 4GB ram, 32GB storage, 2620mAh.
Also same cameras of XA1U.

Do you know if this info is correct?

Well it's logical if it's a midrange and not a flagship because of the camera and fingerprint scanner placement. Flagship won't look like that. Perhaps it's the first midranger with a fingerprint scanner
