I have asked that question to myself as well a couple of times.
Seems like they get a test unit like a month or so ahead of the actual release date.
They give you a preview and bull shitting with, we save our final judgement to when the final unit is released.
Once the phone has been released, they finish their review with what I suspect to be the same unit.

Of course I don't think it is like that but they just seem to be receiving all too many shitty units from Sony.

And it takes some commitment to test every smartphones camera.
Each phone is different and has its different strenghts. And weaknesses.
So it's very easy to misjudge the quality.

I enjoy the phone so far. Very much.

But I met the issue:
I wanted to transfer some data from Z5 to XZ via XperiaTransfer mobile.
I just wanted smses and call log.

I admit, I have very many sms threads, some of them contain many messages.
But anyway, in all the older ones only RECEIVED ones have been transferred.
Without any SENT ones. Any idea?

Nillkin seems nice. However they've just sent me the MicroUSB - USB C converter which is crap,
because the Micro part is too narrow and you basically can't take any accessory out of it without almost ruining it.

Anyway, I am a devoted fan and happy user of Roxfit cases.
This is mine and it rocks:

I use this one for Z5. Great quality. And it has this nice function that opening the case lights up the screen.

nice cases, but all of them cover up the beauty of this phone too much in one way or another, which makes me sad. wish someone made one that was completely clear and very thin. i'm still looking for just a thin film that i can adhere to the surfaces as protection. sure it doesn't protect against impacts due to drops, but i don't want to hide my phone when it looks so nice.

still no update here. btw, wasn't there news back when the XZ first released that nougat would be incoming within a month? wonder what happened to that... i was looking forward to split screening.

I used this Roxfit cover for my Z3 Compact from day one ... after 2 years it still looks good and the most important is that I dropped the phone few times and nothing happened to the phone, not a scratch.

In this case Krusell pouch is the best.
You have a safe phone when you move and than take it out in its full glory.

So far it's my favourite Xperia yet.
Working like a charm. And the new XperiaCompanion seems nice too.

I will share some photos soon.
I believe the camera quality is quite impressive.

i have to agree. it's my favorite sony phone to date. camera is very impressive and i find myself using superior auto all the time when i would always do manual with my Z1.

my only complaint is i wish the fingerprint scanner was better. yes, it is very fast under normal conditions, but if your fingers are slightly wet or dusty or whatever, it doesn't work. also saw a youtube video where if the scanner was scratched at all, it wouldn't work.
