I verified that nothing is blocked and it still doesn't work the way it is intended to work. Notifications show up on the screen but the screen doesn't turn on. I have made sure that all application settings are correct and light screen for notifications is turned on.
I am not using stamina mode. |

Sadness... I just noticed some fine scratches on my metal back.
@dacha. Is it for all apps? If it's only for certain apps try updating that app.

@Tsepz_GP,
I think sony is always known to have the best colour accuracy. Amoled is lack in accuracy.
Other than display, XZ seems to beat all other flagship in terms of speed. Sony has done good optimisation.

Yes it's really ridiculous idea to make it like this. Furthermore... 1s shutter speed is a joke...

Yes, I wrote about that earlier and still that gimped manual mode annoys me seriously much.
I was recommended to download a camera app to be able to play with all the settings that aren't really there either.

^as i noted in my earlier post. yes, the stock camera app doesn't let you adjust shutter speed and ISO simultaneously for some reason. 3rd party apps will let you but of all the ones I tried, the shutter speed is limited to 1/10 of a second as the longest shutter open time period. Not sure why. Of all the ones I tried, the camera 360 app is the most fully featured and useful but it's fatal flaw is flash photography, which is off sync for some reason making the flash useless.
Otherwise, I find the stock app to be pretty useful. Superior auto has been vastly improved since the Z1 and I find myself using that quite often for quick snaps.

Well I have Z5 (still) and honestly I've tried many custom cameras,
and they're clunky or freeze or make worse photos.
I think Sony's camera API is not fully open to developers and they don't exploit it in full,
Or they just don't invest much into it.
I was SO happy to have FINALLY full manual mode, and now this.
I mean WTF.

Sony has simply chosen to limit the camera2 api and only enable certain features that they want in their stock app. their continued marketing response is they will monitor demand and expectations of consumers to determine whether to enable more features or not (e.g., such as raw capture or longer shutter). Obviously, this response is bullshit but eh what are you gonna do. The only real response they will listen to is low sales and clearly we've all purchased a phone. heh. Let's just hope in future updates they will enable more features.

You can get JPEG without Sony noise reduction using Snap Camera. It is same as RAW. And it is just one limitation. The real problem is noisy sensor. Look at my SXP shots

You can make better i think, but it is near impossible from this noisy sensor. Only if you really like Sony noise reduction.
But i think, that it is best from Sony so far.

Are these from this custom camera?
So they look like sh..t because they are actually not focused properly. And the colour is terrible.
It's the worse I've seen from this phone and I don't believe it's even close to it's real quality.

Your shots look like the lens is broken or the lens is dirty.
Seriously.

heh.. doministry damn man. don't be so harsh!
the stock camera actually produces stunning photos in good lighting. even in low light you can get pretty good photos. holding the phone steady, settings, lens is clean, etc. these all matter. i haven't had any real time to test the camera in as many conditions as i'd like, but i will at some point.
all i know is a 3rd party app isn't going to magically make everything better. the only thing a 3rd party app will do is give you different controls, but even they are limited to whatever sony sets for the camera2 api.
