I don't think it will happen here as I don't believe many it's 7 were sold anyway . Anyway the longer this drags less hopes I have for Note 7 to sell well. Carphonewarehiuse has it as coming back to stock in 21st of October but I wonder with iPhone 7plus and the new google phones coming out next month of buyers will still be interested especially after this bad press. And to make matters worst Samsung didn't say yet problem is solved . I imagine or I should hope so that they should get it tested before hey start selling again |

Now how am i not surprised??? I mean cmon a certain 2 phones where coming out shortly after the Note 7. Its typical dirty Apple tactics and a clever one at that but this one has blown back in their face (mind the pun)

Meanwhile the humming noise issue on the iph7 & plus models seems to go unnoticed. This is why I would never buy an iphone again because they are just like any other phone and have their issues but Apple being Apple will never own up to their own mistakes. |

This is terrible, I cannot understand how they got to this point and how they couldn't fix it. If it were as simple as a battery replacement then they would've just taken the tried and tested S7 Edge battery, I think there are other problems because the extreme solution of recalling all devices means they are scared of legal action. Either they don't exactly know what the problem is or the fix would be too much trouble for them. |

The biggest fiasco i've ever seen.
Totally shameful for a company like Samsung.

I will not be touching an iPhone as long as you are forced to use iTunes, that means never again.

Not at all a problem, the Galaxy S7 Edge is pretty much still the best smartphone around anyway, so I'll personally be looking into getting that or keeping my Note 4 an extra year as there is still nothing outside from Samsung that matches the Note 4's functionality
A shame about the Note7, this was bound to happen as OEMs strive to fit more power and functions into smaller packages, Samsung being at the cutting edge of this were bound to hit a wall. At least they now know where the limit is.

Money my friend, I think greed compelled them to sell it knowing that there were issues. You know that Lexus made a massive loss for each LFA that they sold but that car was made with the pure intention of being 'cutting edge' so they get credit, not Samsung. There is nothing positive about this story, no silver lining. |

There is a Silver Lining, they have learnt where their limit is, and just how badly a faulty design can become a huge PR disaster, so going forward they will implement those learnings, also, they are going to focus on making the S8 and S8 Edge truly worthwhile and further improving the already great S7 and S7 Edge for the holiday season.

Where does this idea of Samsung selling a faulty device intentionally come from? 30 odd units from 2M units is a small number and I doubt their lab testings could have been able to replicate it. The probability is too low. Reminds me of the Firestone/Ford debacle from 2000.
