I was getting worried that my iPad Air 2 was already outdated, but as it turns out, the iPad Pro 9.7 also has 2GB RAM and NOT 4GB RAM:

This a nice move by apps to bring the bigger iPad Pro's features to a smaller form factor, but with RAM staying the same, the iPad Air 2 just became one hell of a bargain.

specific and simplistic and effective and directly supported keyboard by Apple. (1 level of support always beats 3rd party)
better pressure sensitivity
much faster cpu and imbedded graphics.
I don't own an iPad sold my Air 1 when it had value and street cred just before the Air 2 debuted. You can BET I'm buying this 9.7" iPad Pro!

None of that does anything for me, I always use headphones.
I am happy with the on screen keyboard.
The A8X still does a great job.
I don't believe the Pro 9.7 is worth the huge price difference, if I were upgrade I'd go straight to the iPad Pro 12.9 with 4GB RAM.

To be fair 4gb RAM was there for the 4 way split screen which I doubt people will do on a 9.7 ipad. For the rest 2gb is more than adequate
I would choose ipad pro over the ipad air 2 but j agree it is too expensive. It is a shame it didn't get the usb 3.0 charging |

Yeah it is a shame about no 4GB RAM and USB3 lightning connector. Most users wouldn't care though typical iOS users use data (LTE/WiFi) for file transfer not necessarily USB/Lightning/MicroSD/SD card transfers.

I think, it has been discussed above, but I shall a bit contribute to the discussion:
- Can`t see any particularly new innovations which could make it worthwhile; the difference in functions is minor, but the price is significantly higher. Same as always with Apple;
- More like a rhetoric question: another renewal for the sake of renewal, but why?
