I saw apple specs showing TouchID v2 ... not a BIG difference in how it affects purchases or unlocking to be honest.

Actually old generation touch id is slower than the new one . But ay this price range I understand they had to cut costs. Still it js a very powerful phone |

I bet internally at Apple SE meant 'Small Edition' but the marketing folks didn't think it sounded nice.
But mostly iPhone 6s internals inside a 5s body is very interesting. And the price is also very attractive. After the price has lost the early adopter tax I could consider selling my Nexus 6P and getting this one.
