That information was before Sony announced the end of Z series. That is why I keep going back to my question to all of you on this forum: Is the IFA2016 Sony flagship going to be the Xperia X2 or will it have different Xperia brand name? Someone from this forum, please answer this...

nobody except sony mobile employees can answer your question. But if i had to guess I would say they will announce the next line of flagship devices under the same Xperia X brand (X1/X1 Performance). Timeframe: Q3/Q4 2016 |

A Sony spokesperson has confirmed to Android Authority that there will be no Xperia Z6 even as the Facebook post mentioned below has been edited to remove mention of the Z6. Furthermore, it was also hinted that the Xperia XA “might” replace the M4 Aqua’s successor as well, meaning that the Xperia M series might also be subsumed under the new X banner. Meanwhile, although the X series isn’t advertised as having an IP rating, Sony claims it will still withstand splashes and short submersions, although the company will no longer advertise the fact or repair water-damaged devices under warranty.

I think no Z6 and next flagship smartphone is Xperia Z7 (Compact and Premium), next year Z9 and etc... |

Simply means: The Xperia Z series is STILL for SALE! Saying it's not going away keeps the sales going until production fully closes.

The x has a better design (subjective), better front camera, and higher memory(dual) but the z5 has a better processor and water-resistant.
Against the x performance, I will choose the performance because of better design. |

better processor ? Z5 has 810 while Xp has 820...
for me, Xp is better than Z5... but not Z5p... I can put both Xp and Z5p in the same category... the Z5p while having older CPU, it has better display...
