Would you be sad to see Sony withdraw from the tablet market?

I love the design and features of MDR-1ABT ( Hi-Res Bluetooth ), the only thing that the h.ear has more is the NC feature which the 1ABT lacks.. both have all other features though the h.ear being new does not have any reviews yet to see how it perform against 1ABT...

for 1ABT, I would choose the silver, though the black still looks nice...

THAT is the headset I was thinking to buy from Sony and the ONLY one I would!

PS: You're wrong because NFC is included in the MDR-1ABT ( Hi-Res Bluetooth ) model:

One-touch listening
Use NFC to make a quick connection, then stream your favorite tracks via Bluetooth

Plus: LDAC codec support
Experience purer sound than typical Bluetooth streaming

@Supa_Fly,

I really meant NC, not NFC ( it's not a typo )... NC = Noise Cancelation which sadly the 1ABT lacks... and by that I mean Active NC.. the 1ABT does have basic Passive NC

The LDAC thing is what makes it a Bluetooth Hi-Res capable... though LDAC is property to Sony and only newer Xperia's ( + latest Walkman ) support it.. so we wont be able to use it with Laptops...

Imagine if those new "C6" pictures are really of the Z6 actually. Really thin bezels next to the display. Snapdragon 820 SoC etc. inside

And get rid of the fingerprint sensor? Not likely.

Iris recognition is still not economically feasible for accuracy. Fujitsu has equipment for enterprises so economies of scale work for them. in a smartphone though ... if you get cateracs say goodbye for access. Also the Blind cannot use it and in the USA alone there are over 100'000 blind people who actually use their smartphone a LOT more critically for their lives than we imagine (many more that are 'technically blind' yet can see a few things clearly or 1 spectrum of light).

@Xajel, yeah I did think "NC" was a typo intended for "NFC" glad you caught that.
Active Noise Cancellation would be great ... but I'd hate to have some puck to carry around like some headphones implement. In the speaker would be better. I'm beginning to feel iOS is getting a LOT better and more complete headsets that properly integrate into the device: B&O's Beoplay H7/H8 both have NC, or the latter does, cannot recal.

I think Sony needs to kill the Z5 middle line.
Bring the Z5 Premium as a standard for Z6 and implement at the very least a Z6 Compact with 1080p resolution (I worry that the Z5C will have no more apps relevant after the next Android OS "O" apps debut; just a fear/thought nothing based on facts.

Looking to purchase the Z5C tonight and go a full week to determine if I Keep/Sell it vs the IP6_128GB.

Those with difficulty of eyesight have a lot more issues to think about than whether to enable an iris scanner to unlock their phone.

Kickstarter idea: a 1cm by 1cm pad with 9 magetically and spring controlled ball bearings which rise and fall to form braille characters under the users finger, thus removing the social awkwardness of having text to speech activated and retaining privacy in public places. USB connection on a short cable, bluetooth option (+10GBP), 'Plus' version with basic buttons for controlling the device (+20GBP), possibly able to daisy chain them for multi-finger speed reading? Hot cakes.
I have a dig bick
You read that wrong

@Supa_fly...

The ANC they have is built into the headphones, not a separate like some... I'm just waiting for reviews of the h.ear and then I'll compare it to 1ABT... the later is a winner design wise.. if they both came equal in terms of sound quality I'll stick with 1ABT... I can live without ANC for sure...

Apple is now moving to get rid of the 3.5mm audio plug.. what we don't know is will the new lightening headphones be analog or digital... I mean they already started to make digital one ( which includes built-in DAC ).. but I know these will be more expensive to make.. so will Apple do something like legacy analog audio through lightening port too so they can use lower cost headphones ( or maybe the bundled one also ).. or will Apple goes digital all the way and make this an excuse to charge more for the headphones alone ?

and what about Android side ? microUSB based headphones already started to appear a while ago.. and some already in the market ( like the famous Z:ero Digital Earphone )...

I find Sony has the opportunity to become a leader here in both Camera and Audio sections.. while they have been improving a little in the Audio but the way they handle the camera makes me wonder how tough they want to gamble on the Audio side.. they already have the latest technologies ( Hi-Res, aptx, LDAC, NC & Digital Audio ).. but they're not advertising these features enough to make peoples know they have it !!

You know how evleaks said a week ago that he will have a Z6 report coming soon - do you think he means before MWC2016 ?

Maybe there is nothing to say since no flagship at MWC, this is why he isn't posting?

After switching to Blackberry priv I understood that Sony was the unsung hero of Android. I will preorder the Z6 Ultra and the tablet the day it arrives. By the way why no fingerprint sensor for US. Don't understand.
