it's not Sony mistake

Have any sony phones had the numeric model numbers in Japan? I am referring to the C, D, E, and now F codes. Aren't most of the Jp phones wither SO-xx, SOVxx, xxxSO, I might be wrong though. |

So the docomo leak show a 2K screen or not? It seems like a substantial upgrade from the Z5 apart from the camera which has huge potential still, one of the best performers out there so I don't see why they need to change the sensor. If its a Japan only phone they should keep it there and not release it, maximise their profit from that region then have their global release of the annual flagship.
About low light, I do just fine in auto mode without flash and it always surprises me how much detail I get. The fact is that if there is no light, the picture will be rubbish as there isn't any information there to capture so its pointless really. LED flash is only useful in enclosed areas but not outdoors, makes the picture look crap. Even with a small amount of light Sony seems to do really well. Digital stabilisation is as good as OIS in phones, an average user wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Video quality on Z5 is awesome with the ultra fast refocus, very impressive. Top dog according to DxO so they need to improve on software. RAW images? 9 out of 10 people don't know that that is or what to do with it. 1 in 1,000,000 people will use RAW on their phone. The usefulness of developing the battery however is something more important.

I had an X1, a total secret and then BAM. Never saw that kind of design in my life and even though Windows was crap, I kept it for ages for its design. I even replaced my X1 for another X1, then another because I love that keyboard. I would love that design with Android. |

Perhaps one idea and it could work, depending when the next device would launch, if not the summer, then IFA, which would mean the Z5 would have to be on the market for a full year, fulfilling the one per year flagship but then it would be competing against a superior SoC (SD820) anywhere from 5-8 months, depending on launch window. This would not be an issue for me if the SD810 was a better SoC, but the jump to the SD820 is significant enough to warrant an upgrade now for the Z5. Sure the Z5 could be priced lower and have better deals from operators but honestly doubt this would even help sony's sales.
But then if this article on XB is correct regarding 4Q FY2015 sales, then Sony needs a new model to keep sales up.

Perhaps the low range and mid range devices at MWC might be enough to help with sales but I feel those sales will only appear first in Q1 of FY2016. Who knows perhaps this lower sales projection is why Sony decided to launch the M5 into Europe now? |

Seems like a good case for a Z5+, same phone + SD820. |

The next Z better not be a Z5+. That would only lead to confusion and disappointment, like post Z3. I know it took this long just to get to 32GB internal storage and 3GB RAM, but the next Z really must amaze. I'm talking 5.2 to 5.6" qHD AMOLED display with sapphire crystal, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, NFC, same waterproofing and dust resistance as the best previous Z (whichever that was), SD card slot, brilliant fingerprint scanner, LTE advanced 4G, USB type C, 3500 to 4000 mAh battery... etc. This would truly make the Z6.

Slightly off topic but Sony just released a flash drive with usb 3.1 drive with type A and type C connectors

Wonder if this means type C is coming to a sony phone near you. |

Sapphire glass is not ready to be used in smartphones, it breaks too easily. 5,2-5,6" display? That's too much, phablets don't sell even though manufacturers spend loads of money on aggressive marketing. Sony needs to work on three things: design, camera and marketing. |

Well, how about Metallic Glass, then?

Evleaks promises Z6 info soon.
Hes leaked details about the S7 and M10 in articles, these past few weeks.
Somebody asked him about the Z6 and he replied
"Report coming soon"
