@ricky nope. After spending quite a time with s7 edge of my brother I came to the conclusion that it's currently best phone you can get. Great display, camera and battery life. The only down side is no USB typ c and water protection, but now there is the note 7! First device with no compromises. And having the Samsung theme store you can easily get rid off touch wiz's cartoonish look. Only its price is currently holding me back from buying one.
Best display, becouse it has 2K useless screen?
Why are the colors are not natural to much over color reproduction, very common problem in AM oled panels, strange you don't mention that and follow the one minded crowd.
No mention talking about average sound quality and average camera to much oversharping. If you realy wants a Phone with the best display, you need Xperia Z5 Premium it has IPS 4K display with real natural colors.
Build quality is also puh, many people complain about build quality.

@JohnnyNr.5 I'm not sure I completely followed the point of our last few interactions? Was it so you could name drop Samsung a couple of times and say you are going to buy one when you have some money?

Specs at least matching the latest and greatest from other top manufacturers within a +/- 4 month period.
I agree with your other points yet this USB-C.
There is no benefit to charging using this standard, other manufacturers have proven no need for it.
Doesn't make for less internal space for a larger battery,
How many computers do you own to handle the larger data bandwidth capacity it offers?
It's 2016 why do we NEED yet another WIRED connector ... we have bluetooh, wifi, LTE!!

@hello best display because great outdoor visibility, super crisp and great viewing angles. Photos and videos really look stunning.
@ricky you described your dream specs for the future Xperia phone and I said that all you were asking for already existed in a Samsung branded device. And yes, I'll probably buy the Note 7 about X-Mas time when the price has dropped a bit. 850EUR is imo just too much. |

So also other Phone looks stunning with IPS, the king of outdoor visibility, but you mention also S7, you ignore saturation of colors and calls them stunning, is this what you believe? |

I think, knowing Sony and judging by the leaked specs so far, we are getting few average flagships coming, nothing spectacular. |

i don't care too much about internal storage as long as we can install apps directly to SD. though minimum 32gb would be nice.
sony should at least match other manufacturers and differentiate themselves based on their hardware design and software experience.
then attract people with one or two blow them away features that only they can offer. that used to be waterproofing, but that's no longer the case. fast camera capture is nice and predictive auto focus is also nice, but if the automatic results are below those of other manufacturers at the full auto setting, then it's not worth anything.
people are lazy. they want to take a shot in full auto and have it be great. what's the point of quick capture and predictive auto focus if you have to mess with exposure and iso in manual mode just to get a good shot? you'll miss those actions shots already.
anyway. looking forward to this week. hope sony can blow me away! it's between the new flagship and the new nexus for me and from what i've seen leaked so far in both, they seem neck and neck except i am leaning toward sony's design more.

I really really hope the USP isn't something that they should have had the entire time like fast image cpature.
Image capture speed from cold has varied so much across the Xperia range. Some of the handsets were extremely quick and some are slower than my nan with a DLSR.
I can just imagine them saying something like "Meet InstaCapture TM fastest ever iage capture in a mobile device" I hate it when a company mashes two words together to create a misleading trademark for a gimmick feature. Unfortuntely Sony have a track record of naming in this manner.
As for USB-C, I generally agree that USB-C is not 100% necessary at this moment. I still have microUSB chargers and cables, my tablet still uses microUSB. But almost everything else I have including my laptop, connectivity peripherals external hard drives etc all use USB-C already. Having my phone (and then my tablet on USB-C will mean I can dump about half of my chargers and cables. It's a more unifying and higher performance standard, not to mention easier to use and more firmly fitting.

I agree with Ricky D, Sony mobile (not really sony itself) had been known to be stubborn giving labels as new features. I do hope that Sony is aware of their current standing that playing dumb won't save them. |

Don't think it'll be the fast image capture. They've done that already. Don't think that's gonna a wow anybody if they do it again. It should be something we've never see before vs a rebranding of something they've done slightly improved. That would be disappointing.
I think it will have to do with the laser auto focus and the dual flash. Something that utilizes these things to somehow do something that they will say is a first in mobile.
I just want a solid device throughout. Top specs, great performance and reliable battery life. Bonus if it can be good enough to make all the mobile review sites out there that tend to bash Sony actually give them a thumbs up.

This is probably fake, look it shows CyanogenMod as OS.
