blackzeros pretty much posted what was on the pages.
sounds like the XZ will be made of aluminum metal. hopefully, it will have waterproofing.
both will have predictive autofocus based on the photos with no blur comment. Hopefully the XZ will also have full manual mode added.
my hopes at bare minimum:
-screen is 1080p and has the best quality ever so there are ZERO complaints about viewing angles and color saturation/sharpness. Although, 2k or 4k screen would a great bonus.
-camera has full manual and OIS just to check the box. 4K recording on front and back cameras would be bonus.
-waterproofing as is the sony way for the past few years. they should not take it away for the flagship.

@moogoo I'm sure the next flagship will be waterproof just like the X Performance is, I can take it or leave it with 4K as it isn't a miss on the X to be honest. I'd love a full manual mode and a high end DAC but these have all been done before so I'm still guessing as to what that USP could be, my guess is still 360 video as that's something that's really taken off lately and Sony don't have a 360 cam as of yet.

Anonymous tip just in:
"Sony plan on launching at least 2 devices, maybe a 3rd if its ready in time at IFA"
"one of these models will be available to buy the very next day which is thought to be the compact version to try and steal a march on the iphone 7"
"the new devices will have a USP that has never been seen in a mobile device"
Thank you anon
If this is accurate (has been correct so far) then the XR Compact will be available for sale as early as next week!!

aw man if the new flagship is available next week or the week after for sale, i will be amazed! of course, i'll have to figure out where i'm going to have to import it from because it will most likely NOT be available in the US right away, which is a damn shame.

It is the translated text, original text would have been better to have a proper translation from a native speaker. Plus who knows what else was uploaded and available on their server. |

If this XZ is going to be as good as it sounds, then I will without any hesitation cancel my order on the Note 7. And particularly if it's going to be available shortly after announcement.
IFA can't come soon enough, please Sony quench my thirst for a new Sony phone.

can't wait for Sony's announcement next week. Looks like XZ will be the replacement for the aging Z1. Metal at the back will be preferred since I'm using magnetic car holder.

Perhaps Sony will announce 3 devices like last year. The standard, compact and the premium version. We already know about x compact and xperia xz/xr but nothing on the premium version
