I had a R29LX and dropped it in the water. The end result:
A wet phone and not so good reception.
I got a T68i and I don't get any service at all in my area. At least with the R289LX, I can still talk to people. The T68i would just drop my call. I even bought one of those "Signal Booster" sticker sh*its and now I got a T68i with a $10 sticker on the the battery. WHY? Someone, please help me please. |

hey! where u located and what network are you on?
The antenna booster stickers to work!! i get 1 extra line of reception with taht! and u dont stick it ON the battery, u stick it on the phone, UNDER the battery!
I got those antenna boosters off ebay, i got 8 for like $5 (canadian).
I love them! i gave one to like each of my friends. They do work. Not significantly, but i do get one more bar of reception.
yup.
i got no complains with my T68i. Absolutely love it.
And yea...the T68i can stay under water for 15 min! and still work.! |

Compared to Nxkia, SE phones are better in voice quality, reception and faster delivery of new technologies.
But both my T68i and T300 will reset itself once a while, especially when I was talking...another Microsoft:) It never happened with my Nxkia phones.
However, I still prefer SE over Nxkia though I keep complaining its stability.

I'm on AT&T. That's what I forgot. I guess there's nothing I can do about it. Putting the sticker on the back of the phone didn't do shit. Thanks anyway. PEACE! |

I am not that far from Chino, and I've driven past Chino with my T68i with good reception. No idea what's up with your phone. |

No offense, I am using a T300 and a T39m myself, but Nokia phones have a better reception than my T300, I guess my T39m has a better reception over all is because it has the stuck out antenna.
all SE phones sold out~
farewell T39m Ice Blue, I lovED you. |

Just wondering...what kind of phone is the R29LX? Do you mean the R289LX or the R280LX?
I don't think the R289/280LX is a GSM phone. That's why you're reception is better on that one over the T68i. GSM coverage in the US isn't very good...simply because all the networks there invested in TMDA and CDMA technology assuming that those would be the "world" standards instead of GSM. TDMA is very old, and more stable on AT&T's network than the PCS (GSM 1900) network.
