And like before ...
Apple introduces it's claim to a resolutionary product, Microsoft is pitched as having the KEY and CRITICAL productivity software (MS Office ) and within less than a few months their already working on a software and product partnership to be released to compete - praying mantis style to seduce and each off Apple's head. Apple may have learned a LOT about surviving and thriving but many old ways die hard.
PS: Microsoft last week announced Dell will be selling the Microsoft Surface Pro to enterprise and businesses in a partnership with Microsoft. Surface Pro 4 is rumored to launch soon, already includes a stylus/pen with over 25'000 levels of pressure sensitivity (maybe wrong on the number there).

That iPad Pro 128GB WiFi+LTE would make for a fine replacement for my iPad 4, which has served me so well with its A6X CPU, still very capable and running iOS 9.1 Beta 1 beautifully.
I wish the Keyboard and "Pencil" came with it, but this is Apple. They are going to make a killing with those two accessories.
I have decided to keep going with my Note 4 as there really is nothing released in 2015 that can truly replace it from the SPen suite, Camera, Memory expansion, Battery life, efficient CPU, Display etc...combo, everything's released in 2015 compromises in some area, be it CPU (Snapdragon 810), or lack of memory expansion.
Sooo...
I think it is a sign, I don't need a new phone, what I need is a more productive tablet. The iPad 4 has done a great job, I have recently begun using it more in meetings with Microsoft OneNote and what a pleasure it is to use, but I would love the multitasking abilities of the iPad Pro. Hopefully FNB and/or Vodacom have it by December.

As much as they appear similar they are very different.. not sure either can win over the other.
What Apple did with the pro is prove that the surface/ 2 in 1 form factor is the way forward... |

I have a hard time accepting this idea that Apple is "copying" Microsoft with the ipad pro - it rather ignores the fact that the Surface was Microsoft's direct response to the iPad in the first place, and while Apple may not have made an ipad keyboard themselves before it's hardly the first time we've seen that kind of accessory - the truth is that there were many people using ipads with case-integrated keyboards before the first Surface was even announced.
The iPad has steadily built a strong presence in the enterprise sector - a bigger more powerful version aimed squarely at business is the next logical step, and hardly something Apple needed Microsoft to point out to them. |

^ Its about the whole 2 in 1 concept .. You could say that the Surface RT was a response to the iPad, but the PRO line is a completely different product category.
Microsoft have been chasing this concept for a very long time.. we are finally getting to the point where the hardware is good enough to transform the vision into reality. |
