The Z5C looks quite nice (don't like the front design) but the 720p display and 2GB RAM at that pricepoint makes it a deal braker (atleast for me). |

I stopped reading after this. They're heavy, yes — 180 grams compared to the iPhone 6 Plus' 172 gram weight

i am shocked king-james likes a sony phone he's been bashing for awhile hehe. glad to see you back in the SONY camp!
new phones look beautiful. mirror back is a nice touch but it will definitely be a finger print magnet. frosted glass is nicer, though i would have preferred a nice carbon fiber on the premium like I had on my old vaio.
no real improvement other than slight material changes, fingerprint, and camera. 3gb ram on a premium device isn't very premium, but it does have a 4K display which will get a lot of attention. Just wish they just went that one step further and put another gig of RAM in there.
I think I will wait to see what they have for MWC. hopefully it will be the beginning of a 1 flag per year tradition and also more changes that will entice me to upgrade. just swapped out my battery in my Z1, replaced the adhesive strips, and cleaned it up abit. now it is working like a champ. i can probably squeeze out another 2 years easily. but i hope sony can entice me to upgrade sooner

Prices seem inline with previous Z3 gen I feel, once I converted to polish currency.
Now waiting for real camera samples from reviews to see how much the camera improved or did not.

Prices aren't very attractive, for the price of Z5 Compact you can buy base S6...

^ 10 mins 4k - that's actually really impressive.
wish i could be more excited to upgrade.. sigh. i know if i had one in front of me i would definitely want it. but for the prices, i want more of a difference over the current z3.

Well given that the 4K screen for mobile was not supposed to arrive until next year, a release of November is still damn good. Plus it ties in with Spectre Bond quite nicely, probably will be the phone he will use in the movie I suppose. |

I think Sony should have added 4GB of RAM to the Xperia Z5 Premium.
As for regular Z5 and Z5 Compact. I think that's enough with just 3GB and 2GB respectively.

I don't really like their new Android skin, app tray with white background looks hideous. Based on Btekt's hands-on video, Z5 Compact has pretty dim display so resolution isn't the only drawback.
PS. Am I wrong or camera "eye" is bigger now? |
