hope they are wrong about the same design language in this year's H2 flagships. I was hoping they would show off something new. But I guess they are saving it for MWC 2016.

I quite like the omnibalance design. So that now Z Ultra is %90 legit. I hope its screen size is somewhere between 6 and 6.2...
So S70 is the flagship.
S70+ is the ultra.
S60 is the compact.
What is S50? Lavender?
My take,
Sony will not release a flagship so soon since Z3+ is new to the market. So I think these two are ultra and compact. They might have done a better job with ultra since it has a bigger chassis easing the heat dissipation. Compact was rumored to use mediatek soc so it is also possible. S70 and S70+ might be Z5 with SD810 or Mediatek and Z5+ with SD820 at a later date.
Another scenario is that the numbers stands for screen sizes
So you have a 5.x inch, 6.x inch 7.x inch and 7+ tablet.
I AM REALLY MESSED UP.

Sonys Flagships will never use Mediatek...so I dont think the Compact was ever rumoured for Mediatek and thats a different device. |

Thay can wait for SD620 which is almost ready and appears to be very promising:

SD808 or 810 with Omnibalance design would be the biggest fail because there's already Z3+. |

It was rumored on a lot of sites and on twitter.

My take is exactly like xperiablog's as i wrote in the previous page: S50 lavender maybe with one more upper mid ranger as rumors suggest, S60 compact, S70 main, S70+ ultra, as they say, which is which is pretty obvious. but i add 2 notes: the flag devices will only use qualcomm chipset and have 4gb of ram. why they did not leak already? who knows, but it just does not make sense that they will use mediatek (!) and only 3gb of ram (!) when note 5, lg phablet, the 2 new nexus devices, etc. are all rumored with qualcomm chipset and 4gb of ram... think about it. sony would loose in comparisons and not be future proof. they rather use any snapdragon s8xx then mediatek and there are already mid range devices already on the market with 4gb of ram. Then the august release is highly unlikely since SD820 wont be ready by then. If it is SD810 that's another story. |

It may have been rumoured but its not the Z4 Compact...
"The Sony E5663 model number suggests that this device is destined for India."
Plus the fact it has 13MP front camera.
Definitely not one of their flagships.
If there was a Z4/Z3+ Compact its likely to have the 810 or at the very least 808, doubt they'd opt for a Meditek especially with their weak GPU's.

Is this the new UI ?
If true, then it's not a new UI... just Stock Android with Sony apps/widgets...

i think xperiablog's assumption about this device should be new flagship is'nt true.but the price point,32 gb rom and other phones s70+ and s50 is confusing.z4v isnt even released and new flagship comes? i cant simply imagine.

@Xajel
If the next UI is stock Android then I will %100 jump ship. Why would anyone buy a Xperia when it gives the same user experience with a much cheaper Nexus. I just can't believe things Sony are making. Instead of differentiating themselves from other manufacturers they are becoming a cheap Chinese brand (no offense). Just look at Samsung and iOS 9. Full of features but not bloated. By the way simple hint for Sony, go to the guys that designed the What's New app and make them design the overall UI. I was expecting screen splitting, replying from the notification pop-up, mobile window video player and stuff like that when they stated they will be redesigning the UI. Grid and icon size adjustments will be another welcome feature. But we have a flashed rom Xperia. Pathethic. |

i have galaxy s6 and ip6 , and laugh when you said samsung isnt bloaded.samsung has worst software inside top manufacturers.i can easily confirm that s6 ram leakage makes me angry even though it has best hardware,z3 compact with even 2gb ram is fluider then s6.android stock ui isnt bad, works good like ios maybe even better then with a real multitasking feature.i can easily choose stock ui with little touch over heavy ui like touchwiz.
use stock ui with little gimmicks and then make a xperia launcher. |
