I'm hoping to see new design technology (JOLED?) on this year's (or early next year's?) flagship.

According to the news, there won't be joled featured smartphone flags on the market before 2018 and that is optimistic prediction. they are talking about oleds for 2017 tablets and laptops and that is also optimistic prediction.

yes you are right.OLED will dominate in coming years but i'm also excited for other display technologies too

Forget about OLED, QLED is the future. I wish Sony focus more on Quantum dot tech. Even Samesung is focusing on QLED for their future display. QLED is better than OLED in every single aspect.

In terms of image quality maybe qled is expected to be superior overall (?) but i always hear about it only in relation to tv's. sony get their smartphone panels from jdi and auo as far as i know and can't find any info about jdi working on qled for smartphones or tablets or for anything. also, there is advantage to oled because it can be flexible and rollable. i think we can expect oled to feature in smartphones much before qled.

What exactly is "kryo"?

Are you seriously suggesting that Sony will use some sort of cryogenic bullshit to keep the CPU cool?
Because that is straight-up nonsense.

Snapdragon 820 is not 8 core!!

it's quad core with 2 cluster clocked at 1.7 GHz and 2.2 GHz ...

From day one i have been very interested in 820 specially project Zeroth
Chances are low but if z5 comes with 820 i will buy it in instant.but leaked pdf z5 had finger print scanner on power button which suggests no 820 as 820 does not need any sensor for fingerprint authentication.

Best news I have read so far today, hopefully it's true that Sony is one of the first companies to test the new chip (fingers crossed)
