@josephnero The display was equal to the Z3 in every aspect however I do think the Z4 panel offers a bit more contrast and slightly wider viewing angles.
I'm so happy 'cause today
I've found my friends ...

@XperiaJunkie, is there a OIS in the camera? And do you think Sony finally used IPS Neo in their display. It would be awesome if they did.

RE: onlive patents buyout
Nice that they want to improve their range of services, but buying onlive is a massive gamble. There is an inherent problem with delivering games in this way and that is connection speed and latency. Any serious gamers would not use such a service and so this is going to be another hole in Sony's bucket.

Serious gamer? Yeah, I imagine most would prefer to have the best possible performance. But what about casuals? Casuals want quick, easy to access, affordable options and this is what it is transforming into. Plus there are FAR more casuals than serious gamers out there. If they can access these types of services directly through their TV, Bluray Player, computer, cell phone, tablet... then that could mean a massive amount of money in Sonys pockets.

By the way the leaked email mentioned May and november release. Guess it's true. May Z3s/Z4 and november Z4/Z5. Hope Huiyi is right and there is the Z5 Compact and Ultra also.

Synaptics VFS6170 official website page, the finger print scanner that is rumored to be integrated into the power button of a future sony device: http://www.synaptics.com/en/p[....]eases/biometric-slim-slide.php
it can actually be integrated into any side button, without the need to cut the glass and thus save $$$, can be operated with one hand, ultra slim - can be implemented anywhere inside the device. as for the swipe, i bet is should work as good as touch based one, otherwise i don't see why sony would bother with it after seeing samsung fail with their former one.

It wouldn't be the first time Sony would have failed introducing at something new...

They're like the Alpha Romeo of the tech industry. They rarely work perfectly and smoothly for the duration of ownership but you can't call yourself a techie unless you've owned and loved a Sony.

@Ricky D
Yeah, the many sony strange decisions... z>z1 but i want to be optimistic as we can see how they improve z devices with each iteration and learn from past mistakes - fixed viewing angles, ditched shatter film, no charging flaps anymore, stopping with half a year main flag. i don't want to think they want to get trashed by reviewers for a crappy swipe scanner. lets see how huawei p8 scanner operates... it suppose to have the same scanner built into its power button.

Looks fake.
picture 2: The edge bumper looks exactly like the Z3
picture 3: Top right corner of the screen: The misaligned WiFi icon still not fixed?
The thing that obviously gave it away is the Walkman icon. It's called Music since the Z4 Tab was launched.

I maybe wrong though, some older software version in MWC still uses the "Walkman" app, but today is like months after MWC so..

IMO it's time sony refreshes Z series design.
Although there is nothing wrong with current one, it's one of the best out there but a refresh is due.
Nothing much, just a bit like metal back...

Well supposedly the one after the next handset is going to have the updated design language. The problem is the lack of coherent rumours on release time frame with otherwise reliable sources saying anything from September to early 2016.

I'd like to see something like the Nexus 6 is style. Very thin edges with an elegantly curved back that is neither too masculine nor too feminine. The Nexus 6 curved back is really beautiful. I was close to getting that instead of the Z3 but there was a lack of dual-SIM version and waterproofing.

Does the Z4 have mirrored front or back glass panels? Is there a 007 edition?

What about calibration? Are colors more accurate? Z3's screen is too cold (~10 000K), colors are punchy but way off. I also have a question about camera settings - can you use HDR or set full resolution in Auto mode? Thanks.
