As lemmy said on 8.0 there is no swipe down

anyway i was aware that you can close the apps from the multi tasking menu- my point was that i didn't need to use it that much on wp 8.0 , pressing back all the way seem to close them

as far as file upload is concerned on android as i said before- photos yes but file like documents was definetely not included in generic documents

I have another orange Lumia 930 arriving after bank holiday Monday(probably Tuesday). This display app thing how the hell can you uninstall it?? I have tried a similar thing from other Lumia's but cannot do so. I have never seen uninstall option in settings menu Anyway the guy at Phones4U said they had NEW stock come in so fingers legs & eyes crossed. I wanted it again it really is a stunning device!! Had the Galaxy S5 but after a few days am bored with Android yet again

Thanks I can't wait 😎 Phones4U and DPD delivery Saturday and Sunday too so should get it weekend. I've tried this method @lemmy31 with trying to remove display app on my updated spare Lumia 520 on 8.1 to no avail. Maybe it only does it if there is an issue with the app

Bono that update was in July. My firmware ends in 51003 and still has the tint issue. Still its only an issue in very low light so doesn't bother me at all. I've re installed the display app and just altered the tint and colour temp sliders for now. Congrats on the new phone, I know what you mean when you say your bored of android.

Ah definitely I was using the Galaxy S5 and I just hate Android home screens. I love the tiles on WP the OS is so elegant especially on a top tier Lumia screen. I tried to send you a PM last night but you've still got me blocked from ages ago. I think I've realised over time everytime I have an Android I just end up back at WP again it's my fave OS.

Ive just unblocked you now Bono, all water under the bridge

I had an LG G3 which we will have to disagree on, I thought it was the best Droid ever, I know you didn't. But at the end of the day any Android just leaves me cold now. I'm going to stick with WP for the foreseeable future, its a great OS and the old argument about the "app gap" is wearing thin now in my opinion. I only miss Sky Go.

Yeah it has a great camera, design and features but I didn't find the battery life great and the screen wasn't as amazingly eye popping as I thought I would be 😊 Anyway should get my 930 tomorrow. I was saying on PM to you before it said I was still blocked I was at the Coventry Transport Museum the other week and thought it was great!!

The transport museum in Cov is a good day out. As much as I love my home town there isn't a great deal else going on there I moved away about 10 years ago but I still try and get back there every couple of weeks to see friends etc
I wish I was as confident as you and gone for the Orange 930, It looks fantastic. I just felt that business meetings demanded a more sober colour. Put some pictures up when it arrives tomorrow.

Could you both tell us how good the screen of the devices you receive tomorrow is? Checked a few 930's in stores today, was a bit dissapointed by the brghtness of the screen, having changed the setting as possitive as possible of course...
