The topic says it all really. I can not, for the life of me, get the combination 3COM bluetooth + P800 to work. Has anybody got it working?
I cannot even see the com ports under Phone connection link. The phone is paired and all that, but the software is unable to find the Bluetooth com ports.

My word to those unlucky bastards who buy the 3Com card is: Welcome to hell of Bluetooth! You poor thing! The 3Com card is the worst first impression of Bluetooth you could ever get.
I have experience with many Bluetooth cards. The 3Com is the only one that has kept me at work untill 9 o clock without finding any solution to anything.
I hate the Bluetooth card with a passion.
You can check the 3Com website. They have some elaborate patch you are supposed to install and is supposed to make things better. I can't say I can feel any difference with the patch and without it.
Don't go for 3Com... go for almost anything else! Even Anycom is better. You can at least pair it with your phone without it beeing deleted from the phone's memory when you start using the connection!
Yesterday I spent 3 hours trying to let a 3Com Bluetooth card talk to T68i. Needless to say, the solution was to return it to the shop and get a Motorola card instead. In fact any other card... TDK, IBM, Thoshiba, Socket, Xircom you name it.

It works fine for me too, with Windows XP as well. I'm using the PC Card.
The drivers haven't been updated for a long time though... That kinda sucks.

Quick note for anyone using a 3Com PCMCIA card...
New drivers were released on 1st of August, and work a TREAT!!!
My P800 now talks to my laptop with no problem - they are connected over a serial BT link! woohoo!!
