Yes finally got 4G this evening where I live. It states that my house doesn't get indoor 4G but in my room I get upto 3 bars of 4G. It's fast.

Best I got so far

But on another I got 10mbps upload. it always varies

As you can see I have 3 bars of 4G

29mbits ?

That doesn't seem very fast. That's just the speed I get with my home broadband. I thought it was meant to be up to 100mbit ?

Well, no it isn't the fastest there is but where I live the 4G signal is not full bars indoors. Also I find on speed tests it just varies with time of day, which sever you choose on the app etc. Three have advertised realistic everyday speeds not shouting about 100mbps like EE does which the majority of the time never happens. Generally on 4G I've noticed much faster browsing speeds loading of pages is instant. Also You Tube buffers a lot faster and videos automatically play in higher res looking way better. Instagram loads faster too with photo feeds. Many times I seem to get very good upload speeds on Three. But it's early days and it's not going to be perfect yet. I wasn't expecting 100mbps

See this report here. But another article on this says the average speed across all 4G networks was just under 30mbps

The bars on your phone stand for network signal strength, not speed. So full bars means good coverage, regardless of whether its 2g, 3g or 4g. So its not a reliable way of telling which speed you're going to get regarding data. Its better to look at the data symbol to tell what speed you'll get, but even then its not fully reliable. For example my phone will go H+, H, 3G, or E.

It certainly sounds good though, so i'll look forward to 4G when or if I ever get it in the future with a new phone.

Oh come on,I wasn't born yesterday I know it doesn't mean speed. But Three did say if you are closer to the cell site you will get better speeds.

I tell you what the 4G coverage on Three around Birmingham is excellent. I've picked up over 3 to 5 bars in most places around city centre and major roads on buses. Some areas it does drop off but that's to be expected. I also got 39mbps today in busy city Centre where it's normally more congested and 18mbps on the upload
