I've been djing for two months now in VirtualDJ and I've gotten fairly good in it.

I mostly mix dubstep because I don't have enough tunes for the other genres.

In the meantime I will try to make some money to get a mixer.
The Numark DXM06
I think it is a good start and if I can buy some good budget CD players I'm good to go.

So.. any DJ's out there?

MissUK likes to mash some songs up.

There is plenty of budget gear around. Keep in mind what you need and what you might need in the near future when you go out to spend some money. Check the second hand stores too, you'll be amazed what they have in stock.

I was looking at used stuff already. eBay might be a problem fr me (no credit card yet) and I like to check out the stuff before buying.
I may even plan a few trips to some music shops or ask someone to try some stuff out first.

Nice to hear that! I listened to trance a while ago too.
Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, that kinda stuff.
Before it went 'mainstream'.
Such a shame to see a lot of genres going mainstream and at the same time going shit. Like dubstep. Most of the new listeners have never heard a real dubstep tune nor dub or jungle one...

But here is my mix.
Mixed in Virtual DJ 7 free. Great little thing
Hope someone enjoys the music in there because it is darkish dubstep and some of my friends think it is boring so it ain't for everyone.

So I've started saving up for a pair of turntables and a mixer. I just love vinyl and the feel of it.
I already have a few records and frankly, I'll have a lot of them when I get to buy my decks.
Because they are so flipping expensive! I just think I'm gonna have to live on a weak diet for a year
and next year hopefully gonna be able to buy some Tech 1200s.
That is the plan at least! I kinda wish I didn't go for turntables but there's so much I can do with vinyl
and then THEN you add DVS on it and it gets a whole lot better.

And BTW, here's the first Pioneer turntable. A bit late bloomer Pioneer and they aren't really that different from the
1970 Techs design...
