E1 is cheaper than E at launch
RRP €129 in Belgium, €139 in Germany, €149 in the Netherlands.
Probably the cheapest Sony Xperia made.

RRP, yes. But at sale price, absolutely not. They did a promo early 2012 where the Xperia Mini and Mini Pro were both sold for €99, in Belgium (which was a hell of a deal back then).
E1 is not an ODM device. |

@Ambroos Do you have info or it's your guess? Digitimes reported that Arima and Compal are seeing increased orders from Sony for 2014 so I guess E1 is actually an ODM device. I don't think they will outsource their higher end devices. Or maybe the 100db speaker is so special that Sony has to make it itself. |

zomg said that the lumia 520 or whatever that super cheap one is called is really killing Sony at the low end market, it good that they are reacting to it fast with a fat superior looking device atleast the T2 does to me. Profit margin is probably very low but it increase peoples awareness to their brand if they ever get the low end one and liking it a lot; chance that they might upgrade to your flagship device one day. |

MartenR, he knows, really. He has done his homework, and if you don't know who he is, you shouldn't have asked . |

Lumia 520 really is a fantastic device for an extremely low price. Here in Sweden it is one of the most affordable smartphones you can buy |

Or did I miss something?

Thanks...
Well, that is an interesting technology...
About the new Camera apps on the T2 Ultra (god, as Sony was starting to make sense with their products, I get lost all over again), they look interesting. In no time it will be ported to the Z1/Z1-C
