Did clean installation, twice. Just so that no one suggests clean installation again . Camera is still slow and the bugs are still there. Just the lock screen wallpaper bug has been fixed.

Now to double check, I bought z1 compact for my dad a few hours ago, without using it more than 2 minutes, I upgraded that to 4.4. Guess what, it has the same exact bugs as Z1. Camera is just as slow now.

P.S- Is it possible to increase the font size beyond large text option in accessibility? There used to be an option in earlier versions of android where I could select font size as large, extra large etc. It would be really helpful if someone could help me with this.

Same here djin. Clean installation made the phone feel smooth and fast again but only for 3-4 days. The lockscreen bug was gone and the phone doesn't reboots itself now.

But the camera app is the buggiest with hangs and crashes everytime it is used. And it's slow as hell now.

Also I am having a lot of heat ups with Z1 and from past 5-6 days there is sudden battery drain when battery is below 30%. Yesterday the battery was at 8% and I started a game, in a min the phone was at 0% battery and it got shutdown...

well.. according to sony, they are aware of the bugs and are rolling out a firmware update next week. just have to wait now. no use in complaining anymore, at least until you've updated and are still having issues..

i'm still waiting for kitkat.. period. sigh.

I am not complaining, just letting others know that if they update to this, they will have certain very annoying bugs. The update is in more ways positive, but if they can wait for the fixed version, it would be better. That's what I have suggested indirectly in one of my previous message.

http://www.anandtech.com/show/7903/samsung-galaxy-s-5-review/2

look
the z1s camera is being compared to the s5's. anandtech has good opinions for the z1 camera, mostly putting its performance above the s5's.

anandtech's photo comparison presentation is AMAZING. very easy to use and loads quickly. contrast that to gsmarena's and phonearena's.

yeah ... chosen by votes. VOTES. sample photos taken without regard for consistency. between that russian site and anandtech, it's obvious which one has the credibility.

oh it's a russian site... reminds me of crimea... votes... the russian gov't influence.

edit: i'm still not convinced that z1 is a good device, though. it should have never existed. it should have been the z2 right after z.
