I can't believe a network locked phone has it before the sim free variant. When I checked PC companion ther was no sign of the update however I done mine through SUS which I tend to find gets the updates a little quicker.

I have tried PC Companion and SUS but neither have the update for my Z1. Whats your customisation number?

Updating through PC Companion.
O2 branded handset. They're quick off the mark with this one!

Cheers. Thats the O2 version. Mine is the UK generic version which will probably be updated sometime next year.

@jcwhite_uk mines sim free to but this has been happening with Sony for ages now, all operator variants have to be approved and out before the sim free one because all networks have to work on the sim free handsets

I hope you guys get updated to the next version of kitkat directly. The bugs in this one are annoying at times. Especially the slow camera start up. It takes sometimes more than 3 seconds to start up(no i don't need to factory reset, almost everyone has this issue). I still think the 4.2.2 was the best for z1.

Yes it can start within 1 second too but its not consistent. More like a hit and miss.

Got my phone back, they have changed the display, and the back cover.
But I send it back to them, because when I send it the flaps were perfect.
now that microSD flap and the SIM flap, wont close firmly and the SD flap sticks out.
another week without my Z1.

Don't try to start the camera using the shutter button as this is even worse.
The software is buggy as was mentioned before on xda, and there is new firmware testing which hopefully will be released soon. |
