NTT Docomo SO-01F sighted at Japan CEATEC.
Has upgraded 32GB ROM and 'Full-Seg'.
Thanks for this, I did not follow Ceatec.
We had the Softbank winter collection Monday and no Sony - not surprised.
And the AU collection today, and Z1 is announced, but will only sell by end of October. This is faster than the Fujitsu Arrows Z, end of November, and the Sharp, end of December...
I guess this is the faster Sony can do, maybe because they will ship phones with the latest camera firmware?
So I would expect a similar date for Docomo's own Sony, Fujitsu and Sharp models.
Until then, it is party time for iphone...
Edit: Also, full seg is great, but how do they do it without an antena? This is how Fujitsu and Sharp do, no? (sorry, iphone user here...)

^ Most phones in the line up have built-in antenna. Don't know how they managed to pack it in.
Regarding launch dates...
This was posted on Docomo's FB page. 2013 Winter - 2014 Spring Collection announcement on 10 October 12pm (GMT +9).
The Z1, Fujitsu and Sharp phones should be launching very soon after.

Xperia Z1 user in the UK Sky Go is now available on our smartphones if you have a Sky TV package.
I'm so happy 'cause today I've found my friends ... They're in my head

ok Latios, thanks again for the confirmation.
Then my guess is: they use the metalic frame!! Lol, is it even possible?
The other possibility is, the reception will be bad compared with models with an antena.
It is a tradeoff, you better live close to sky tree (but not too close).
Interesting feature: the sharp at AU can record the full seg!!
Progress never stops...
Re docomo, yes announcement on the 10 then and release 10月下旬 (edit: this is my guess), then around the 20-25...
Would be great that Sharp and Fujitsu do the same so we can compare against in the shop, but I feel it will be like AU (why would it be different?)

^ Given that they have promoted Sharp, Sony and Fujitsu to be the main phones for the lineup, they should be released together unless there are manufacturing delays. If they aren't released on the same week it would seriously give an advantage to the first released phone. ・_・ |

^haha.. i was just gonna say it's clearly very apple biased. from the moment i read the design critique that the Z1 is very ordinary compared to the Iphone 5's nicer design..

This limitation was there already back when the company was called Sony Ericsson.
I got a few shots still stored with a certain firmware to the K750i.
The picture quality is definitely on par with what you have today but after an update, the image quality got worse.
Same thing happen with Xperia T/TX. Remember those amazing shots posted with TX on eprice site? Then we learned it was "experimental" unit, while final result was - disappointing.
I really hope Z1 doesn't go this path.
Cheers,
Miki
