Hi All,

Pleas help!! I have downloaded the software of Opera nad installed on my P800. But when i try to view a web page, it shows connected but then it says "server not connected" I am using Canada Rogers AT & T with GPRS. What am doiing wrong?

Also, I can't view the live cams that is already installed in the phone? I mean when I double press the Time Square, it had asked me to download a file then packet video would appear on the screen. But it's just a black screen with nothing on it. Anything that I should set before I view the live cams?

Thanks for the help.

Are you using a wap account? If you are, that doesn't connect well to non wap sites. Something to do with the gateway. You should set up an internet gprs account.

Wap is slow as hell and gprs is faster (dont remember the speed for gprs or wap but i think gprs is approximately ~125kbit/s, correct me if i am wrong) . You can also connect to gprs in a few seconds but with wap it can take a long time. And one of the best things with gprs is that you can be connected and still talk with the phone...

AFAIK, Opera is not a WAP browser. Therefore, it will not dispaly WAP sites. As for using GPRS, you may use it to connect to the web but you will still be unable to view WAP sites.

BTW, with GPRS are able to receive voice calls while surfing on the web. You CANNOT however do both talk and SURF simultaneously. Your internet session will pause for you to answer a voice call resuming once you have hung up.

Actually, GPRS is more about 40 to 50 kbs. The theoratical speed is 140 or something like that...

Practical speed is probably 2-3x that of CSD.
